Trans-humanists like Peter Thiel are obsessed with creating Artificial Intelligence. Neither Thiel nor any of the other AI builders are unaware of the religious implications of their god-machine building project. Thiel, for example, openly admits that the quest for Artificial General Intelligence is a substitute for God. Transhumanism, said Thiel, “is a secularized version of Christian eschatology. Eternal life, minus the Cross. Judgment Day, without repentance. Ascension, via silicon. And though Thiel and some of the AI builders know and fear that the beast is coming they’re building his throne anyway. ” (JD Hall)
It may be they are too besotted by power to resist building. Or perhaps their burning desire for AI overpowers their recognition that they’ve unleashed something dreadful they cannot control. Either way, Thiel feels the dread. He imagines something is coming.
While men like Thiel wire “the world for total surveillance, militarizing AI, and laying the groundwork for techno-fascist rule” over the entire world their dread of a coming beast just might be the product of their idol-creating imaginations since they don’t walk in the Light of God’s Kingdom but dwell in the kingdom of Satan in the darkness of their minds.
Idol Creating Imaginations
Transhumanism is a spiritually pagan form of nature worship as it worships what the Lord our God created. Where Christians worship the Lord our God Who is Ultimate Reality, for Trans-humans, ultimate reality is an idol—an energized machine of life that is the Universe. Supposedly, the living Universe evolves toward ever more complex states, as if a ghost or energy were operating the machine. Thus, the Lord our God, mind, spirit, and matter are formed from and reducible to the ghost or divine energy operating the machine. In this imaginary, idolatrous scheme of things, divine energy also operates within the neural complexity of the brain, meaning that divine consciousness (God reduced to divine energy) operates within the brains of the “enlightened” Trans-humans who imagine that consciously aware divine energy will rise on the wings of AI models as a god that “outperforms human reason.”
Transhumanism is the reigning superstition and madness-producing idol factory of the once-Christian West and America. It is promulgated by contemporary Western heirs of a rebellion against the Holy Trinity that emerged out of the Renaissance giving birth to an occult intelligentsia, open intercourse with spirits, astral plane travels, totalitarian aspirations, subjectivism (moral relativism), and Illuminism, a teaching of ancient mystery religions that holds that man, “can evolve, through initiatory steps, into a god state himself.” (New World Order: The Ancient Plan of Secret Societies,” William Still, p. 27)
AI, Idolatry, and the Sovereignty of God
We live in an age where, “technological innovation has outpaced theological reflection. Artificial intelligence—once the stuff of sci-fi—is now crafting sermons, counseling congregants, and mimicking human interaction. In mid-2025, it’s not just technologists sounding the alarm. Biblically faithful evangelicals are raising concerns that AI is becoming a modern golden calf, seducing believers into trusting machines over the Master. But fear is not our posture. Let us go to our Sovereign God in prayer:
Deliver Your children, O Lord our God, from any apprehension or fear induced within the hearts of Your children by the wild imaginings of modern nature worshipping idolatrous pagans who obsessively and foolishly wire the world for techno-fascist rule while in the imaginations of their dread-filled hearts foresee the coming of the Antichrist. Let us remember that Your servant Paul summed up how dark the unsaved human heart is in Romans 3:10-18 and apply his teaching to Trans-human pagans Even more important, let us always remember that the Antichrist can only come upon this world when our Sovereign Lord allows him to and not one millisecond sooner, and especially not when foolish modern pagans imagine he will.
Furthermore, let it always remain in our hearts that You, O Lord our God, can protect Your children against anything, even millions of evil spirits; even against the wild imaginations of modern idolatrous pagans. Finally, let us always remember that Your children live by prayer and by our cries of help to You, our Lord Jesus Christ.
We ask these things in the name of our merciful, all powerful Savior Jesus Christ. Amen
