Welp, good luck getting through this one with dry eyes.
A mother took an incredible video of her son waking up in the hospital after a skateboard accident, and it's going viral for good reason.
In the video, which was later posted by a friend, he looks up and says he can see Jesus and his deceased father, who apparently died of cancer a few years ago. He talks to his dad and talks to Jesus, constantly remarking about how beautiful Jesus is.
"He has fire eyes..."
It recalls John's vision of Jesus from Revelation 19, where he describes his Jesus, saying, "His eyes were as a flame of fire."
He begins talking with his dad, saying how much he misses him, talking about how beautiful heaven is.
This video has to be seen to be believed.
VIDEO AT LINK.......................
The thing that really got me was how, when he saw Jesus, he suddenly became really convicted about his sins, confessing them and asking forgiveness.
And then there was the part where he asks his Dad: "Did you see me skateboarding?"
What are your thoughts?
My position is unchanged. By Paul saying he would rather be in heaven, does not state or imply that "to be out of the body is to be with the Lord", The text simply does not see that. Nor does the context or the rest of Scripture lend itself to that conclusion, It simply doesn't. Period.
Okay, sparky, show me where Paul says "better" in the 2 Corinthians passage.
You are correct; the word "better" does not appear in the Corinthians passage. But it does appear in the Philippians passage that you cited in support of Jim W N's position.
We continue to talk past each other on the issue and are starting to go around in circles. Let's just agree to disagree and let others viewing this thread draw their own conclusions.
What BS. Fate is what you make. Now...you may get cancer...but thats got nothing to do with you OR God. Chances are that hard work and tactful planning will result in success.
Explain to me HOW it is BS to say God allows suffering for a purpose and His reasons may not always be apparent to those suffering? It is by FAITH that we believe what God has revealed to us in His word about His character - that He is loving and good, that His ways are not our ways nor His thoughts our thoughts. The child of God has HIS promise that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose (Romans 8:28). If you reject God and/or the Bible as His revelation to man, then that’s on you. It may be BS to you but it doesn’t mean you’re right.
