Please join with fellow FREEPERS to pray for AMERICA: For those in Authority in Government, Family, Military, Business, Healthcare, Education, Churches, and the Media.

1 Timothy 2:1-2 I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone: for kings and all those in authority that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.

Colossians 3:12-17 Put on then, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body.

And be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

Father, We thank You for the salvation You freely give us and the benefits of it, Your peace and the grace to live the kind of life You desire for us. In these troubled and troubling times, help us keep our eyes, hearts, and minds focused on YOU and keep everything else in perspective. Give us grace and strength and wisdom to live lives worthy of the calling we have received, and live the kind of life You describe here. Please, help us to not squander the wonderful opportunity You have given us in Your mercy.

We do pray for our elected leaders, that You would continue to work righteousness in our government. Strengthen those who know you, give them opportunities to share their faith, and protect them from harm in any form as those who oppose you are becoming more and more obviously dangerous.

For those who don't, please convict them of their sin and bring them to a place of salvation and repentance. Those who won't change , please, remove them from office or position and replace them with godly leaders.
