The Seventh-day Adventist Church has released the advance edition of its 2025 Annual Statistical Report, detailing 2024 membership reports. Published by the General Conference’s (GC) Office of Archives, Statistics, and Research, the report presents division-level data on baptisms, attendance, and overall membership. As of December 31, 2024, global church membership reached 23,684,237—an increase from 22,785,195 in 2023, representing a net gain of 899,042 members.
The East-Central Africa Division reported the greatest increase with over 446,000 baptisms and professions of faith, pushing its membership to more than 5.7 million. The Southern Asia Division and Inter-American Division also posted strong numbers, with the latter surpassing 3.73 million members. These figures confirm that the engine of Adventist growth remains firmly rooted in the Global South, particularly in Sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia.
A standout contribution to the 2024 growth figures came from Papua New Guinea, where the PNG for Christ baptismal campaign yielded extraordinary results. According to the report, church membership in the Papua New Guinea Union Mission grew from 422,756 at the start of 2024 to 623,276 by year’s end, an increase of over 200 thousand members.

Thank you very much and God bless you.
SDA is not Protestant. It’s a cult founded in the 1830s by a drunk false prophetess.
And you can quote me on that
Based on the numbers above, every day, an average of about 2500 people become Seventh day Sabbath keeping Christians around the world.
We have many adventists here in North Texas from Africa. Kenya, Nigeria, etc. they are among the most dedicated knowledgeable students of the Bible I have ever seen. They are quite impressive of their understanding of prophecy especially. And just good decent kind people.
THey reject dispensationalism , the secret rapture, Israel as a nation being relevant in prophecy, etc. Because they read and study the Bible.
I think you would like them...
Any opinion/thoughts about the founding of the Church of England .... you know, the one established by Henry VIII. Just wondering! LOL!!
____SDA is not Protestant. It’s a cult founded in the 1830s by a drunk false prophetess.___
The drunk Ellen White was responsible for the Adventist medical education and worldwide medical ministry including Loma Linda University.
I’m pretty sure you have the smarts to get accepted to Loma Linda Medical School. I can tell.
I had my eyes operated on by Dr. Tom Tooma, a eye surgeon , from Loma Linda University. His group did Tiger Woods eyes.
He is a Seventh day Adventist eye surgeon in Newport Beach CA. Also travels abroad doing surgeries with other Adventist doctors to poor countries.
I recommend him if you are looking to have your eyes done. But Thank you......
___It’s a cult founded in the 1830s by a drunk false prophetess.___
I always have to chuckle at people who bow down to some guy in a gold, scarlet and white robe, and kiss his hand, and who turn around and tell others they are in a cult.
I don’t even think the Manson followers kissed his hand or bowed down to him.
Hollywood can’t write that. bizarro world.
The Church of England is a hybrid. A mostly protestant byproduct of the Catholic Church.
It is not a cult. It’s unscriptural , but it’s not a cult.
____It is not a cult. It’s unscriptural , but it’s not a cult.___
Bowing down, kissing the hand of some dude that suddenly became the “vicar of Christ” because some other dudes took a vote......
Yep, you are the resident expert on belonging to a cult.
I attended a luncheon speech given by Ben Carson at the large 7th Day Adventist Church in Loma Linda a few years back. It was an overflow crowd requiring the use of two additional auditoriums with large screen TVs to accommodate everyone.
I have never witnessed any Christian meeting with any Christian group that had such a hugely wide ethnic diversity of attendees as we had that day. It was like a united nations of Christians. I have found that to be true of many SDA congregations.
Are we saying the Catholic Church is a cult? How do we define what a cult is?
Ever read the book called “The Bad Popes”.
You will be quoted on that at Judgment Day for bearing false witness.
Are you drunk again? You seem to be thinking I’m a Catholic.
By definition, all religions are cults and it is a meaningless word bandied around slamming other denominations. The word has no real purpose.
Cult (n): A religion that the speaker dislikes.
____Are we saying the Catholic Church is a cult? How do we define what a cult is?___
Some of have said the roman catholic church is the largest cult in the world. I agree with that.
When a human being is adored, worshipped, deified, when it is claimed this human being is “infallible” when he speaks in the official capacity of the church, when millions of people, weep, cry, fall and kneel at his feet. In a way no different than they do in North Korea for the dear leader.
When is it claimed this human being is the “vicar of Christ” on earth....who can assume the perogatives of God alone, absolving sin, etc.
And to think all because of a vote........which is laughable....hey, we need God on earth...let’s take a vote...how can anyone in their right mind go along with that.....a mammoth deception....
Yeah.....that’s a cult. Not even the charles manson followers acted like I saw a few weeks ago and some here.
And .....it’s all in the Bible. She is described in the Bible to a T.
Protestants worship or kneel or confess to NO human being. WE worship, kneel and confess only to the great I Am. God and that includes his son, who is God...Jesus Christ.
It’s bizarre they call anyone else a cult. Bizarro world.
____Are you drunk again? You seem to be thinking I’m a Catholic.___
Yeah, I thought you were. But Catholics here say cult too.
I don’t know what you are other than not being very smart.
The world’s population is about 8.2 billion. That means the wingnuts represent about 0.3% of the population.
Thus, according to vespa, 99.7 percent of the world’s population is “dumber than dumb”.
Aren’t they special!!
And yet some say 7th Day Adventists are a cult. So how do we decide who is right, about which denominations are cults? Do we even care who thinks they are right on such an issue?
