Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem

Our Father in Heaven,
Hallowed be Your Most Holy Name!
We Come Into Your Presence With Singing,
And Into Your Courts With Praise!
Thank You, LORD,
For The Truth of Your Word,
Contrasting the Upright with the Wicked man.
Indeed, the wicked are cowardly,
And flee even when nobody is pursuing them.
They come to kill, steal, and destroy,
And weary us with their endless lies!
The "father of lies" accuses Your people day and night.
We pray for an end to the slander!
Without You, any attempt to build our house,
or our Nation, is in vain.
For in You, Father, is our Provision,
Our Security,
Our Prosperity,
and Our Future.
We are nothing without You.

Let all that has been Concealed
Be Revealed.

Father, We Pray For The Peace Of Jerusalem,
According To Your Will and Promise.
We Pray That You Will Forgive The Sins
of Our Own Nation,
and Lead us all to Godly Repentance.
Create in Us Clean Hearts, Oh LORD,
and Renew a Right Spirit Within Us.

This we Pray Together,
As We Await Your Messiah,
Blessed Be He,
To Set Up His Kingdom,
And Make All Things Right.

God Bless America.

Names and Titles of God (The Ransom) Mark 10:45

45 For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.

King James Version

________________________

Years ago, one of my sisters taught me a card game. It's a fun and easy game, involving random cards in a pile, solitaire arranging of the cards in alternating black and red, some strategy, and some chance. The object is to get rid of all your cards by alternating them in descending order from the kings in the corners of the board. Thus, the name of the game is: "King in the Corner".

My sister and I played this so much that we got too good at it, and sometimes the game would be over almost as soon as it began. We had to figure out a way to make it more challenging. We tried different things, and finally settled on some new rules, such as the ability to discard a useless card back into the center pile, but only if you couldn't make any kind of other move. We also shuffled the two Jokers back into the deck. No matter how many or few cards you have in your hand, you CAN'T make the final winning move UNLESS you have the Joker. (If you have two Jokers in your hand you have to discard the second one back into the deck without your opponent seeing it.) This makes the game last longer, and gets you wondering what card was just discarded. Was it the Joker? I NEED a Joker to WIN!

We called the game "King's Ransom", because you can't "rescue" the King in the Corner Tower without the "Ransom".

We now only play this version of the game because it is more fun and takes a bit longer to win. We also like to play Scrabble and Trivial Pursuit on those long evenings babysitting grandchildren. Lord knows there's NOTHING worth watching on TV.

The name of the game brings us to Today's unusual Name for Jesus. He is called, in Mark's Gospel, "The Ransom for Many". Just like in our convoluted game, you can have all your cards in a row and still not win unless you have the Ransom. Adherence to the Law is not enough, and we can all admit that nobody is perfect, except the One Who gave His Life for Our Salvation. He is the Ransom that frees us from the corner we have painted ourselves into. He paid the Full Price, and said so, when He cried out on the Cross:

"It Is FINISHED!"

Whom the Son sets Free is Free Indeed.

Come and Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.

For whatever is hidden is meant to be disclosed, and whatever is concealed is meant to be brought out into the open. (Mark 4:22)

God Bless America.

Blessings To All Who Visit This Garden of Prayer.

Hallelujah and Amen

Praying for J-rue and Tel Aviv. My wife was the Arrow Field Office Manager in 2005-2006, leaving State for an Army civil service position.

Let the Arrow fly and and let Iran Quiver. Of course the Arrow is defensive but the F35s will be busy.

Time for the USA to settle up for 79 and 83. 🇦🇷🇰🇷🇺🇲

Psalm 107

1 O give thanks to the Lord, for he is good;
for his steadfast love endures for ever.
2 Let the redeemed of the Lord say so,
those he redeemed from trouble
3 and gathered in from the lands,
from the east and from the west,
from the north and from the south.*

4 Some wandered in desert wastes,
finding no way to an inhabited town;
5 hungry and thirsty,
their soul fainted within them.
6 Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble,
and he delivered them from their distress;
7 he led them by a straight way,
until they reached an inhabited town.
8 Let them thank the Lord for his steadfast love,
for his wonderful works to humankind.
9 For he satisfies the thirsty,
and the hungry he fills with good things.

10 Some sat in darkness and in gloom,
prisoners in misery and in irons,
11 for they had rebelled against the words of God,
and spurned the counsel of the Most High.
12 Their hearts were bowed down with hard labour;
they fell down, with no one to help.
13 Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble,
and he saved them from their distress;
14 he brought them out of darkness and gloom,
and broke their bonds asunder.
15 Let them thank the Lord for his steadfast love,
for his wonderful works to humankind.
16 For he shatters the doors of bronze,
and cuts in two the bars of iron.

17 Some were sick* through their sinful ways,
and because of their iniquities endured affliction;
18 they loathed any kind of food,
and they drew near to the gates of death.
19 Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble,
and he saved them from their distress;
20 he sent out his word and healed them,
and delivered them from destruction.
21 Let them thank the Lord for his steadfast love,
for his wonderful works to humankind.
22 And let them offer thanksgiving sacrifices,
and tell of his deeds with songs of joy.

23 Some went down to the sea in ships,
doing business on the mighty waters;
24 they saw the deeds of the Lord,
his wondrous works in the deep.
25 For he commanded and raised the stormy wind,
which lifted up the waves of the sea.
26 They mounted up to heaven, they went down to the depths;
their courage melted away in their calamity;
27 they reeled and staggered like drunkards,
and were at their wits’ end.
28 Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble,
and he brought them out from their distress;
29 he made the storm be still,
and the waves of the sea were hushed.
30 Then they were glad because they had quiet,
and he brought them to their desired haven.
31 Let them thank the Lord for his steadfast love,
for his wonderful works to humankind.
32 Let them extol him in the congregation of the people,
and praise him in the assembly of the elders.

33 He turns rivers into a desert,
springs of water into thirsty ground,
34 a fruitful land into a salty waste,
because of the wickedness of its inhabitants.
35 He turns a desert into pools of water,
a parched land into springs of water.
36 And there he lets the hungry live,
and they establish a town to live in;
37 they sow fields, and plant vineyards,
and get a fruitful yield.
38 By his blessing they multiply greatly,
and he does not let their cattle decrease.

39 When they are diminished and brought low
through oppression, trouble, and sorrow,
40 he pours contempt on princes
and makes them wander in trackless wastes;
41 but he raises up the needy out of distress,
and makes their families like flocks.
42 The upright see it and are glad;
and all wickedness stops its mouth.
43 Let those who are wise give heed to these things,
and consider the steadfast love of the Lord.
