FATHER GOD,

How the king rejoices in Your strength, O LORD! He shouts with joy because You give him victory. For You have given him his heart’s desire; You have withheld nothing he requested.

You welcomed him back with success and prosperity. You placed a crown of finest gold on his head. He asked you to preserve his life, and You granted his request. The days of his life stretch on forever.

Your victory brings him great honor, and You have clothed him with splendor and majesty. You have endowed him with eternal blessings and given him the joy of your presence. For the king trusts in the LORD. The unfailing love of the MOST HIGH will keep him from stumbling. (Psalm 21:1-7)

LORD, protect President Trump and his family from danger. Give President Trump the grace to overcome all the obstacles putting him in harm’s way. Turn what was meant for evil into good. Divinely dismiss all charges brought against him by crooked judges. Vindicate President Trump and bring the crooked ones to justice.

You, GOD, are our Defender. You are our Defense! Help us stand upon Your Promises when our enemies attack us. Your Word does not return void, but will accomplish what You please, and prosper in the thing for which You sent it. (Isaiah 55:11).

• The LORD is my Revelation – LIGHT to guide me along the way; He’s the Source of my salvation to defend me every day. I fear no one! I’ll never turn back and run from You, LORD; surround and protect me. (Psalm 27:1)

• Whoever goes to the LORD for safety, whoever remains under the protection of the ALMIGHTY, can say to Him, “You are my Defender and Protector. You are my GOD; in You I trust.” Hallelujah! ( Psalm 91:1-2)

• The LORD is my strong Defender; He is the One Who has saved me. He is my GOD, and I will praise Him, my father’s GOD, and I will sing about His greatness. The LORD is a Warrior; the LORD is His name (Exodus 15-2-3)

• The LORD is my Light and my Salvation – whom shall I fear? The LORD is the Stronghold of my life – of whom shall I be afraid? When the wicked advance against me to devour me, it is my enemies and my foes who will stumble and fall. Though an army besiege me, my heart will not fear; though war break out against me, even then I will be confident. (Psalm 27:1-3)

• But make everyone rejoice Who puts his trust in You. Keep them shouting for joy because You are defending them. Fill all who love You with Your happiness. (Psalm 5:11)

• I depend on GOD alone; I put my hope in him. He alone protects and saves me; He is my Defender, and I shall never be defeated. My salvation and honor depend on GOD; He is my strong Protector; He is my Shelter. (Psalm 52:5-7)

• I come to You, LORD, for protection; never let me be defeated. You are a righteous GOD; save me, I pray! Hear me! Save me now! Be my refuge to protect me; my Defense to save me. GOD will hear me! (Psalm 31:1-2)

• You are my Refuge and Defense; guide me and lead me as You have promised. Keep me safe from the trap that has been set for me; shelter me from danger. I place myself in Your care. You will save me, LORD; You are a faithful GOD. (Psalm 31:3-5)

• The LORD is my Rock, my Fortress, and my Savior; my GOD is my Rock, in Whom I find protection. He is my Shield, the Power that saves me, and my Place of safety. (Psalm 18:2)

• I love You, LORD. You are my Strength. The LORD is my Rock, my Protection, my Savior. My GOD is my Rock. I can run to Him for safety. He is my Shield and my Saving Strength, my Defender. (Psalm 18:1-2)

Thank You for the Living WORD of JESUS CHRIST. No matter the storm or crisis we are going through, when we are afraid, we put our trust in You. We confidently declare, “I trust in GOD. I praise His WORD. I trust in GOD. I am not afraid.” (Psalm 56:3-4)

In JESUS’ Name we pray. AMEN.

My 83-year-old pastor friend who is still quite active, may have suffered a stroke.

I spoke with him last night. I am to call him Monday to check up on him (his request).

Please be in prayer for him.

He is a great asset.

Meanwhile, I’ve had a couple of folks close to me get a little kooky this year. I’m frankly avoiding contact with both of them at this point. There seems to be something in the air. Uncharacteristic behavior. More than a bit unnerving.

So I’m going to ask for prayers for myself.

Thank you for those selections. They reminded me how sweet it is of God to give us these records of David and other psalmists so that we have examples of how to address You, Almighty Lord, what to ask, how to ask, etc. How amazing is God’s kindness and generosity toward us.
