Which is it Francis?

Is it that there is too much "faggotry in the Church"?

Or is it "There is room for everyone in the Church, for everyone! No one is useless; no one is superfluous; there is room for everyone. Just as we are, everyone?

I didn’t read this. But just basic catechism- homosexuality is not a sin. Acting on it is. Priests cannot live is community with other priests if they are homosexual for obvious reasons.

What would Jesus do?

He would call out the faggots and their faggotry.

I don’t buy that he said it. This Anti-pope has always been pro-homo.

Someone must have told him that “faggotry” contributes to climate change.

Perhaps Bergoglio has had a kick in the ass from above and now is trying to backtrack at least part way.

if Pope Francis said this, it is the first time I’ve heard him express any disapproval of the homosexual “lifestyle”

maybe he’s waking up (or maybe someone gave him a Bible to read)?

Watch for a big scandal to pop up soon, Pope F is trying to spin it in advance as “nah, look how tough we are on the issue of gay clergy!” I say this because there’s no way he means it so you have to guess at what the hidden agenda is..

But just basic catechism- homosexuality is not a sin.

The temptation to sin is never a good thing. It becomes a sin if one dwells on it. Remember, Our Lord said that someone who looks with lust at a woman is guilty of adultery.

I don't think he is. He is, however, a Jesuit. Which means that many of the men he associates with are homosexuals or very friendly to homosexuals.

Not only did he say it, he is now apologizing for saying it. Something is really off about this whole thing.

Yeah, I just saw the apology. I agree, we are missing something very important with this story.

This is not new. You’ve even posted articles before that Francis has used such language in personal conversations, and isn’t gay-friendly in such conversations. I didn’t think he would use it in his job.

No, there was an article in the last few months, that he made disparaging marks about homosexuals in private conversations. But, as far as I know this is the first time he said it in a non-private conversation. Although, I’m not sure this qualifies as a completely public statement.
