A Las Vegas judge sentenced Pastor Bobby Cornelius Smith of New Beginnings Ministries Church of God in Christ to one year of probation on Monday, the result of a plea deal that will see the disgraced pastor avoid jail time but have to register as a sex offender. Despite this grotesque development, Smith was not run out of the church or made to resign, but instead will remain the pastor. According to KLAS:
A grand jury previously indicted Smith for 11 felony charges, including nine counts of sexual assault, one count of attempted sexual assault, and one count of child abuse, neglect, or endangerment. Three women, one family member, and two women whom he referred to as “God daughters,” reported that he sexually assaulted them.
A family member testified in front of the grand jury that Smith forced her to use sex toys multiple times starting when she was 17 years old and a senior in high school, according to transcripts obtained by the 8 News Now Investigators. She said that Smith told her, “God is telling me that it is important for you to do this,” and insisted that the sex toys would prevent her from ruining her life and giving into “urges.” Smith later showed her how to use the toy and would tell her to meet him at hotels, she said.
Furthermore:
Another woman testified that her family became involved with New Beginnings Ministries when she was 16 years old. At 17, she said, Smith texted her a photo of a sex toy. She told him that she did not want to use it. Smith later brought up the sex toy again, telling her that sex toys are not a sin and that he wanted to show her how to use one, she said.
Despite his disqualifying behavior, Smith’s has been preaching regularly since being charged early last year, much to the shame of his effeminate elders and weak-willed congregants. With having to register as a sex-offender, he will not be able to be alone with any children other than his own.
I hate the wishy washy leftist foundation of the Dick Wolf shows but have you noticed all the series with “viewer discretion” and “may contain graphic and disturbing images for some viewers” are followed by the real life news with the same? And kids over 12 have been blowing heads and bodies to pieces on video games all along.

In the 1980s there were big headlines about a General Motors vice president who shot his wife and children at home in their wealthy suburban home. People were baffled.

I can’t help but wonder if a lot more people are going into this for the money. Preaching is not a job one does for the money but with the rise of TV Preachers with all their homes, cars and planes it’s changed a way how some look at ministry. Or should I say it’s warped it.
The Southerners already knew about this. It’s pretty common in some circles. We had a pastor in my hometown kill himself after he was exposed as being on the down low with the Deacons. He was facing jail time for embezzling and such.
No sir, the Christian thing to do is to immediately remove him from all forms of ministry.
I knew a pastor who had a consensual affair outside his marriage. The church leaders immediately fired him. TO help his family, they were allowed to remain in the church owned home for a number of months. They were also allowed to keep the car the church had purchased for them. Both were modest assets.
Pastors and elders are held to a higher standard as clearly enumerated in Scripture. In my friends case, he permanently gave up his right to stand behind a pulpit.
In this guys case, the system failed the young ladies. He should be in jail. The Bible also mentions drowning with a millstone tied around one’s neck for similar crimes.
Pedophiles have no redeeming qualities.
They cannot be rehabilitated.
Kill them.
And those that support them.
This includes prosecutors and judges.

Due to the audience starting to agree with me, the Dick Wolf shows have MANY “walked away free but was shot on the courthouse steps outside” type episode endings.

What is wrong with the people at this church? They should refuse to let this creep stay in their church. This is why so many people avoid the church. It’s like two of the churches in my town. They both fly the gay rainbow flag out front. One of them just had a pastor arrested for selling meth amphetamine. Sometimes he would trade it in exchange for watching to gay men have sex. What a disgusting scumbag.
