Citygate Church is a large multi-site church in Forest Park, Ohio. Led by ‘visionary/ vision-casting’ pastor and pastrix duo Eric and Kim Petree, their recent Christmas service was one for the books, featuring an array of well-produced Christmas music, a brief message mixed with a three and half minute long trampoline show, smoke machines, a woman battling invisible enemies with a fiery sword, real camels, and other dazzling effects.

This came up on Twitter. I raised an objection to it, arguing that it looks more like a Cirque De Soleil production. Another twitterer retorted that in the eternal state there would be performers like that who would please and honor God.
I still think it's inappropriate, but reading that made me think about how beautiful a thought that is.
