I urge, then, first of all,
that requests, prayers, intercession,
and thanksgiving be made
for everyone:
for kings and all those in authority
that we may live peaceful and quiet lives
in all godliness and holiness.

Heavenly Father –
May we reflect this December 15th two events to celebrate:
* The signing of the Bill of Rights in 1791
* The last day of Hanukkah, 2023
Both remind us of God’s Providence of liberation. And the Bill Rights as well as the Declaration of Independence remind us that our rights come not from man, but from God.
And in celebration of lights this Hanukkah-Christmas season, Ronald Reagan reinforced this hope for the destiny of our nation:
Yet we have lost our way as we stray further from the Word of God.
In our day, may we repent of our sin and pursue righteousness only provided by the cleansing of the blood of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
This season of celebration of our Savior’s birth and the coming New Year may we, the people, turn to God with all our heart and appeal to Heaven for deliverance:
Like the miracle of Hanukkah, may the Light of World shine in these dark days.
Through the power of the Spirit:
* Reveal all that have been concealed.
* Convict our hearts and bring us to repentance and salvation and life eternal.
* Deliver us from the Evil One and the satanic regime that had usurped our nation.
* Spark revival, renewal, restoration, and healing in our land.
As we prepare to celebrate the Word made flesh, dwelling among us, may we stand firmly as we wait for the Second Coming of our Lord.
And may we continue, without ceasing….:

Amen! Praying in agreement. Thank you for the historical items you posted as well. May we once again become God’s salt and light for the world.
Prayer For Illumination And Light
Lead me Lord in the way that I should go, and guide me Father by Your Word of Grace and Spirit of Truth into a deeper understanding and knowledge of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, Who is the light of the world, and Who illumines the path of all that trust in His saving power. Help me Lord, to look to Jesus, Who is the lamp to my feet and the light to my path.
Thank You that in Christ, I have all that I need for every area of my life, for in Him and through Him we are promised to be able to accomplish far more that we can think or imagine. But Lord, I desire more. Show me more of Him I pray. Open my understanding to know more about Jesus, to know Him more fully and more personally with each passing day, for in Him is all light and life and hope and peace.
More and more and day by day, I pray that the light of the glorious gospel of grace may shine down into my heart, illumine my mind and engage my will to see more and more of Jesus, knowing that as I walk in the light as He is in the light, we will have fellowship one with the other. Praise Your name forever and ever,

We usually only ask *Why me?* when bad things happen, but never when good things happen. Why should I be given such a rare privilege? I have no idea.
