Popular Christian Leaders Share Platform With Queer and Transgender “Christians” at “Christian” Conference

Max Lucado, a figure who once at least held a veneer of Christian orthodoxy about him, has now capitulated to a dangerous trend of watering down the stark realities of sin. In fact, Lucado has taken it upon himself to recast sin as nothing more than what he calls a “shortcut,” a mere hiccup on the road to alignment with God’s will. Lucado has launched a full-blown assault on Christianity and biblical truth.

Whether it be endorsing pro-gay feminist Jen Hatmaker, apologizing to the LGBTQ community for past teachings on homosexuality, referring to the Holy Spirit in feminine terms, begging forgiveness for ancestral sins of slavery and segregation, and adopting the practice of speaking in tongues as part of his daily prayer routine—Lucado’s actions collectively signal a complete abandonment of objective biblical truth in favor of a more progressive, ecumenical approach that attempts to reconcile biblical Christianity with modern pagan cultural movements.

So it should come as no surprise that Lucado would be sharing the stage with a “transgender Christian” to promote “Christian” living in the coming years. In 2024, Preston Sprinkle, one of the founding board members of the “gay Christian” organization, Revoice, and CEO of Theology in the Raw, is holding a conference that features several apostates, including former Reformed pastor, Josh Harris, who renounced his faith a few years ago and was later seen marching in gay pride marches, Greg Coles, author of Single, Gay, Christian: A Personal Journey of Faith and Sexual Identity, and Kat LaPrarie, a man who wears women’s clothes and uses women’s pronouns and who says he is “passionate about people, the church and articulating the Gospel using her[sic] story that God has woven together.”

While it isn’t surprising that Lucado would mingle with such freaks, it is rather shocking that Carol Swain would lend credibility to this movement. In 2021, Swain joined the Conservative Baptist Network in the Southern Baptist Convention and helped draft the original resolution denouncing Critical Race Theory (CRT) which was not passed–it was killed by the resolutions committee. Swain said in an interview on the Tennessee Star Report that she was not allowed to speak at the business meeting against CRT and that some black pastors threatened to leave the denomination if CRT was addressed. Swain has been an outspoken conservative ally, so why is she sharing a stage with these apostates?

Update: Carol has stated that she was unaware of the others participating in this event, and is contacting the event organizers to address her concerns with them about the others.

Update again: After contacting the event organizers, Dr. Carol Swain will NOT be speaking at this event. Praise the Lord!

Also, there is Evan Wickham, CCM star, Phil Wickham’s brother, who will be leading worship and talking about deconstruction and reconstruction. Also present at the conference is a Black Hebrew Israelite who goes by the name Street Hymns. And possibly one of the most outrageous queers at this event is Art Pereira, a man who spoke during a Revoice conference about how he moved in with another dude that he was sexually attracted to and they began a marriage-like relationship together while claiming to be “celibate.” Here’s that video…really weird.

“Do two walk together, unless they have agreed to meet?” —Amos 3:3

Too many of these leaders simply have gotten to the point where they see their “ministries” as a job, and they need to water down the message so they don’t offend too many people. That’s how they keep the money rolling in.

Many of these large churches are no different than a Fortune 500 company, with homo lovers leading the corporate boards.

It angers me....

speaking in tongues is Biblical. The church is known as ‘her’ since the church is represented as the woman.

Homosexuality is wicked. As is transgenderism.

I always thought Lucado’s books read like gibberish.

Sadly homosexuals have a strong presence in most denominations of Christianity. They are no longer hiding and are not bashful in their attempts to alter teachings to accommodate their perversity. Children are at most risk. The Church, when it abdicates its role as the counter cultural moral beacon to the decadence of modern day culture, it ceases to be the Church of Christ. The “pastors” and “church leaders” who attend such a conference are the most dangerous type f heretics and already have a huge millstone welded around their necks.

So is divorce & sex outside of marriage & pornography & gossip & lust & greed & laziness. It feels like our side builds up their disgust in the moral depravity of a couple of select issues (maybe as reaction against victimology & political correctness)- while completely ignoring everything else. A lot of the people expressing disgust have been divorced, partake in pornography, talk behind others backs, are morbidly obese from sitting on their backsides & care far too much about possessions. I’m not arguing against making judgements on things- I believe you have to. I’m also not suggesting that a person who has engaged in sin can no longer make judgements- you absolutely have to. But I do believe our side loses the argument by not calling out other sin, including their own.

I was raised & became Anglican (C of E in the mother country). I always believed in different levels of sin- mortal, venal or otherwise. My sister converted to Baptist. I was floored when she explained their belief that all sin was equal in God’s eyes- someone who tells a small white lie is a sin equal to child molestation & murder. If true, your everyday sins should receive the same level of disdain as trannies & gays 🤔

Jesus certainly did warn about the Tares. But in His parable they seem to be indistinguishable to a large degree from the Wheat.
I think I will go back and spend more time studying that.
Given what happens to the Tares it is much better to not be one.

Time to cast them off. Without God provision they will die. Oh, yeah God is not happy when anyone dies...but He will allow it (cost of rebellion and free will) “You want out? OK..good bye”

Very sad. I don’t agree with the speaking in touches as a prayer language part.

But “our side” does not adamantly promote ‘divorce & sex outside of marriage & pornography & gossip & lust & greed & laziness.’

(aside, can you give any Biblical justification for ‘levels of sin’?)

my comment was based on the ARTICLE that talked about homosexuals and trannies being advocated for by these so called pastors.

It’s a shame. Max Lucado is a talented writer. Hopefully he repents before it’s too late.

no such thing as a gay christian, that’s like saying someone is a satanic Christian.

You could be a former homosexual Christian. But if you don’t repent you cant be forgiven of your sins.

“speaking in tongues is Biblical. “

TRUE, BUT... NO ONE should EVER hear you speaking in tongues.

If you speak in tongues in public to/with other Christians you MUST HAVE have an interpreter.

I believe that the prayer language you speak (IF you do) is between you and God and it is very unlikely that ANYONE else could translate YOUR prayer language.

Paul talks about speaking in tongues. He says (the bible says) that while speaking in tongues IS one of the gifts, it is the LEAST of the gifts.

All these charlatans don’t know God any better than you do. Why listen to them?

Read the bible, pray to Jesus, and you are good.

can you give any Biblical justification for ‘levels of sin’?

If anyone sees a fellow-Christian committing a sin which is not a deadly sin, he should intercede for him...Although all wrongdoing is sin not all sin is deadly sin. (1 John 5:16-17)

I must add that it seems crazy to me to need a Biblical justification to admit a distinction between horrendous, gruesome crimes and others that are less extreme. In 1983 in Illinois a mother and her three children were found dead in their beds where someone had used a long-handled axe to bludgeon them to death by swinging the blade into each of their heads from 10-15 times for each one of them. I cannot imagine that God views that on par with passing a bad check.

“I was floored when she explained their belief that all sin was equal in God’s eyes-”

That’s utterly, heretically, FALSE.

None that I could cite specifically. It just seemed correct to me that a sin like child molestation or premeditated murder were more vile than, say, telling a lie about your age or saying a foul word. I think I was unknowingly assuming that God’s judgements would mirror our human instinct to assume certain crimes & sins are worse than others. I would even venture to say that an overwhelming majority of devout, conservative Christians regard certain sins worse than others. I think it’s just human instinct. Even the inmate population- in prison for a multitude of sins- regard child molestation as beyond the pale. There are certain t hints I can’t imagine forgiveness for. But, I am not God!

And just like that you can be “Christian” completely ignoring Christian doctrine. Never mind all that Leviticus stuff or all those cold prickly rules we are to obey.
