Adam didn’t live his entire life in Eden; he and Eve got booted before Abel was born.

After Abel was murdered, Seth was born when Adam was 130 (Gen. 5:3), so we know with certainty that Adam was in the garden less than 130 years, then he when on to live 800 years more after Seth arrived.
You run the numbers basis the genealogy in Genesis 5 and you’ll find out that Adam was still alive when Lamech, Noah’s father, was born, and lived until Lamech was 56.

Here...
Let me blow your mind some more.

Noah was childless until he was 500 years old, then had Shem, and lived another 450 years. Doing a little subtraction basis the genealogy in Genesis 11 you find out that Noah lived for another 60 years after Abram was born.

So there’s Terah, “Abram! Nahor! Haran! Y’all go use the bathroom ‘n’ get in the wagon; we’re going to see g-g-g-g-g-g-great grampa Noah.”

That’s something new to hear about- an estimate that Adam was in the Garden less than 130 years.

Funny to think of Abram/Abraham as a young child when I usually think of him as a wise patriarch full of years and leaning on a staff.

I re-read my response and clearly it was a bad post (sorry!) because I should have said, Adam only lived 930 years - so 1,000 years in Eden was out.

True, we don’t know how long he was there - but we do know how long he lived.

Methuselah was the oldest person to ever live as he died at 969.
