Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem

John 6
Jesus Feeds the Five Thousand
6 Some time after this, Jesus crossed to the far shore of the Sea of Galilee (that is, the Sea of Tiberias), 2 and a great crowd of people followed him because they saw the signs he had performed by healing the sick. 3 Then Jesus went up on a mountainside and sat down with his disciples. 4 The Jewish Passover Festival was near.
5 When Jesus looked up and saw a great crowd coming toward him, he said to Philip, “Where shall we buy bread for these people to eat?” 6 He asked this only to test him, for he already had in mind what he was going to do.
7 Philip answered him, “It would take more than half a year’s wages[a] to buy enough bread for each one to have a bite!”
8 Another of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, spoke up, 9 “Here is a boy with five small barley loaves and two small fish, but how far will they go among so many?”
10 Jesus said, “Have the people sit down.” There was plenty of grass in that place, and they sat down (about five thousand men were there). 11 Jesus then took the loaves, gave thanks, and distributed to those who were seated as much as they wanted. He did the same with the fish.
12 When they had all had enough to eat, he said to his disciples, “Gather the pieces that are left over. Let nothing be wasted.” 13 So they gathered them and filled twelve baskets with the pieces of the five barley loaves left over by those who had eaten.
14 After the people saw the sign Jesus performed, they began to say, “Surely this is the Prophet who is to come into the world.” 15 Jesus, knowing that they intended to come and make him king by force, withdrew again to a mountain by himself.

Our Father,
Praise and Glory To Your Holy Name!
A Crown of Glory,
A Diadem of Beauty,
The Spirit of Total Justice!
You are Our Tower of Strength when we are faced with tragedy,
You are Our Defense against the enemy clamoring at the gates.
Let all that has been Concealed
Be Revealed.
Father, We Pray For The Peace Of Jerusalem,
According To Your Will and Promise.
We Pray That You Will Forgive The Sins
of Our Own Nation,
and Lead us all to Godly Repentance.
Create in Us Clean Hearts, Oh LORD,
and Renew a Right Spirit Within Us.
This we Pray Together,
As We Await Your Messiah,
Blessed Be He,
To Set Up His Kingdom,
And Make All Things Right.
God Bless America.

For most of my adult life, I have struggled with my weight. It is an ongoing battle, and, believe me, I have tried everything. So, when the pop-up ad on my email promised that "THIS ONE WEIRD TRICK WILL SOLVE YOUR WEIGHT PROBLEMS FOREVER!!!!!!!", I figured, "Why Not?" and I clicked on the link. What followed was a slow video with very poor illustrations that went on and on and on about insulin resistance, BIG PHARMA wanting me to be fat, EEEvil doctors hiding this simple secret to weight loss so they can prescribe pills, the weight-loss industry conspiring to keep me fat, etc etc etc.I endured it to the end, because, even though I knew it was a scam, I HAD to see what the "WEIRD TRICK" was. Well, finally, at the end of twenty minutes of this drivel (I can be VERY stubborn) it was revealed that the the thing that I should NEVER eat is BREAD. Not just bleached white bread, but even whole-grain, multi-grain, unbleached, unprocessed, 100% Natural, Organic, crunchy, crusty, home-made bread. The villain was a substance in wheat and other grains called "Gluten". Now, there are people who shouldn't eat gluten because of Celiac's or Chrone's Disease, and there are some who are sensitive to it just as there are people who are sensitive to shellfish or peanuts. But I sincerely doubt that there is a vast conspiracy of The Medical Profession, The Fitness Industry, Big Pharma, Big FARM, and The International Cabal of Gluten Providers, doing everything in their power to KEEP ML/LTOS overweight.
When Jesus fed the Multitudes, He provided them with Fish (protein) and Bread (carbohydrates), the basic building blocks of the human (omnivore) diet. Animal Rights Activists would disapprove of the fish, and the new Anti-gluten crowd would criticize the abundance of bread. Yet, this is what He passed out to the people, and they were more than satisfied. As we go further in the Gospel of John, especially this Chapter, we shall see that great significance is attached to bread...and nowhere is it referred to as "whole-grain, multi-grain, unbleached, unprocessed, 100% Natural, Organic, Crunchy, Crusty, Home-made Bread." It's just "Bread".
Meanwhile, as I scoffed at the idea that the "Staff of Life" was killing me, my youngest sister became very sick. She was having severe Gastrointestinal issues and she had neither a doctor nor the insurance to pay for one. And so, for two years she suffered extreme symptoms, while all the time was taking care of her husband who was in end-stage Alzheimer's Disease. I spent hours, filling out forms, touring nursing homes, making phone calls, interviewing admissions clerks, and running back and forth to the ER with my sister until finally we were able to place her husband in long-term care. Now it was time to tackle the GI issues.
First we had to get insurance. No doctor would see her without it. In Massachusetts, they do have a program for poor people, but the forensic audit that takes place first is quite daunting. I spent hours slaving over a hot photocopier documenting all my sister's income for the past two years. Then, when she finally got approved, we needed to find a doctor that was on her "Plan". We finally did manage to do that, but her appointment was months away. When she finally saw the doctor she was referred to a Gastroenterologist, with another appointment months in the future. Meanwhile, the poor woman was in excruciating pain, and I drove her to the ER, who told her to take laxatives.
At least we had an upcoming appointment, to get a real diagnosis and treatment. In the meantime, on a whim, Sis cut out Dairy and Gluten. That seemed to help. However, it consigned her to a steady diet of Sushi. She LOVES Sushi, but it's the most expensive thing to eat.
Finally, after all this, we went to the GI Specialist yesterday. She did not give Sis a Diagnosis. Neither did she prescribe any medicine or tests. All she said was:
"It looks like you're doing the right thing. Keep it up."
My sister never had a sensitivity to Dairy or Gluten before. This just happened in the last two years.
I think the whole thing is caused by STRESS. But what do I know? I'm not a doctor.
Please keep my sister, her husband, and me in your prayers. This ain't over yet. (I know I can count on you!)

From devotions this am
” 3. (16-17) The nations are brought low before restored Israel.
The nations shall see and be ashamed of all their might;
They shall put their hand over their mouth;
Their ears shall be deaf.
They shall lick the dust like a serpent;
They shall crawl from their holes like snakes of the earth.
They shall be afraid of the LORD our God,
And shall fear because of You.
a. The nations shall see and be ashamed: When Israel is restored to the land and enjoys a restored relationship with the LORD, then those who opposed God’s people will see how wrong they were to fight against them.
b. They shall be afraid of the LORD our God, and shall fear because of You: Seeing the greatness of God’s restoration will make the nations respect the LORD in a way they didn’t before. They will see the power and love of God in action.”

If she co ti ues having issues, seek another gastro. Did the gastro give her scope tests? Upper and lower gi scope tests? If not, that would be suggested. I went for years with issues, bad issues, and never was tested with scopes- finally i5 got so bad they had to and discovered the problem right away, as it was visible and significant.
Also, in the meantime, she should note which foods seem to cause flare-up of pain, or diarrhea, and of course avoid them. She shouldn’t have to restrict herself to just one food. Dairy is a big no, things like broccoli, cabbage, and a few other veggies cause big issues. Acidic foods like tomatoes, oranges, certain. Fruits, etc also a no. Eat bland for a bit. Rice, bananas, and try to avoid hard to digest thi gs like certain. Grains etc. The carnivore diet does well for gastro issues.
Also go online and find advice for gastro issues.

Yep, going to docs is a nightmare when diagnosis isn’t given- we dealt with it for years too. Gastro problems can be tricky to diagnose without proper tests. There are several conditions which affect different parts, but one way to tell if it’s upper or lower is how soon after eating the pain starts- if very soon, it’s likely an upper issue, of the pain comes later, then likely lower. I had both- stomach eventually closed off where it empties out, and had to have bypasses done. It has been a long frustrating g road for sure, and I’m sorry your sis has to go through it, and you too as you try to help and support her- she’s fortunate to have you for sure.

Oh, forgot to mention, another way to tell what “might be going on” is tl have Roland’s, or tums or the pink stuff on hand, and if pain starts soon after eating something, tske a few Roland’s, and if it settles the pain down some, it can indicate the issue is in the stomach area too, so you both will have more info for doc if it turns out to be in stomach.
