In what appears to be a granting of legitimacy to “transgender ideology,” Pope Francis featured in a Vatican podcast which claimed that young people today are “characterized by technological advance, psychological disorders, sexual fluidity, and criminality.”
Introducing the podcast in the context of the upcoming World Youth Day in Lisbon, Portugal, the Vatican narrator Salvatore Cernuzio asked, “Who are the young people of the Pope? Who in general are the young of today? In that microcosm of World Youth Day, this August in Lisbon, it is difficult perhaps to uncover a story. It is difficult to enter into the nuances of a generation characterized by technological advance, psychological disorders, sexual fluidity, and criminality – but also the desire to do, discover, to reinvent themselves.”
During the podcast, Francis told a 22-year-old gender-confused Italian woman who calls herself “Giona” – a baptized Catholic in her 20’s who said she was “torn by the dichotomy between faith and transgender identity” – that “God loves us as we are.” The Pope’s words – which were released by Vatican News on Tuesday, July 25 – have been taken by the wider press as yet another gesture of acceptance toward LGBT advocates and rainbow ideology.
After listening to “Giona’s” story, the Pope seemed to affirm the woman in her alleged transgender identity, saying, “Giona, I have listened to your story and about your path, and you know already know that which I’ll tell you now. The Lord always walks with us. Always. The Lord is not disgusted with any of us. Even when we are sinners, He helps us. The Lord is not disgusted by our realities, He loves us as we are. And this is the crazy love of God… God loves us as we are, God caresses us always. God is father, mother, brother, everyone for us. And to understand this is difficult, but He loves us as we are. Don’t give up… Go forward.”
“Giona” had told the Pope, “I had the luck to be baptized. And I see the sacrament of baptism as a ground which someone prepares for you… Cultivating a faith that feels truly my own helped me to accept myself in my disabled atypical body and to never feel really alone despite difficulties because I know that He who knew me before I was would never give me a cross too heavy for my shoulders.”
“When I became aware that I was a trans person, I would have so preferred not to believe it. And what about that wonderful and perfect body which is [His] work? I felt yanked by the dichotomy between faith and transgender identity, two arms of the same body, my own.”
According to Avvenire, “Giona” expressed satisfaction with having her question answered by Francis, but “said [she] was somewhat bitter about that reference to sin ‘as if transparently carrying our identity in the world could somehow be a mistake.'”
The first people “Giona” confided in warned her she was going down a “dark path” and deserting Christ. After being affirmed in her adopted transgender identity, however, she decided to cast off her initial feeling of guilt and to present herself as both “transgender” and Catholic.
This is far from the first time Pope Francis and the Vatican have encouraged LGBT lifestyles and ideology under the guise of affirmation and welcome. In February of this year Francis was caught using “preferred pronouns” affirming transgender identities by calling a group of grown men “girls” – all because they have chosen to self-identify as women. He also supports the “nun of the trans” in a shocking sign of support for the transgender agenda.

In a clear attempt to impose the acceptance of LGBT ideology on the entire Church, the working document for the upcoming Synod of Bishops on Synodality in October prominently features questions of how to welcome and include in the life of the Church – including admission to the sacraments – those who identify as LGBTQ+ and who actively engage in sexual activity and lifestyles the Church has always condemned as immoral, offensive to God, contrary to His commandments, opposed to charity, and detrimental to the family and marriage.

The affirmation of transgender “transitioning” is especially criminal because – as the U.S. bishops stated in a doctrinal note on the matter – it involves the mutilation of the healthy sexual organs of the body and chemical sterilization by means of “puberty blockers,” a practice previously reserved to the punishment of serial sexual predators. So devastating is the so-called “transgender treatment” on the health of the body and the psychological soundness of the mind that many youth decide to “de-transition” within a decade, or tragically attempt suicide.
This past May, a number of Catholic churches in countries across Europe hosted numerous events promoting the LGBT lifestyle and in opposition to “homophobia and transphobia,” with participants meeting with Pope Francis. In the United States, a number of dioceses saw blasphemous “pride Masses” offered during the month of June – a grave sacrilege in which the Mass is profaned by being used to scandalously promote sexual immorality.

Despite this Catholic promotion of LGBT arguments, Catholic teaching on transgender issues remains unchanging, as the Catechism of the Catholic Church states: “Everyone, man and woman, should acknowledge and accept his sexual identity.” (CCC # 2333)
The Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith’s 1975 document, Persona Humana, also echoed this with the words, “There can be no true promotion of man’s dignity unless the essential order of his nature is respected.”
In his first letter to the Corinthians, St. Paul states that homosexual actions are sinful, explaining that “neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers” will “inherit the kingdom of God,” but rather, according to his letter to the Romans, those who practice homosexuality will receive “in their own persons the due penalty for their error.” And the first chapter of Genesis affirms that our bodies were made male and female by God himself: “Male and female He created them.”

The new and Improved Pope. Pope Lite. More sin less fulfilling.
Come on Pope Marx. Now tell us you love abortion as much as the good Catholics Pelosi and Biden.
“Giona, I have listened to your story and about your path, and you know already know that which I’ll tell you now. The Lord always walks with us. Always. The Lord is not disgusted with any of us. Even when we are sinners, He helps us. The Lord is not disgusted by our realities, He loves us as we are. And this is the crazy love of God… God loves us as we are, God caresses us always. As God so loved the sinners of Sodom; right, Jorge? And Hell is empty?
And Jesus Christ never referred to God, His Father, as His Mother, or Brother or anyone else!
Can Catholics excommunicate a POPE?
This guy is going to destroy the Church. You say it can’t happen. Look what has happened to the USA in just little more than two years.
This is the view of God that the Jesuits have been pushing for fifty years now. And it’s also why 90% of graduates of Jesuit institutions abandon the faith of their Fathers.
The Lord is disgusted by our sins.
Jesuits…
HAHAHAHAAAAAAA....
I’m sorry but there’s so much of this I can’t help but laugh about. There are lots of good catholics out there, but the church itself is sh1t on a shingle.
Boy, things are rather fluid in the Catholic Church these days.
The thing that amazes me is how many Catholics are solidly behind Francis and how hostile some can be to people who adhere to the traditional tenets of the faith. .
Are you referring to their Christian faith as a whole or simply abandoning being a Catholic for another Christian denomination?

HERESY.
APOSTASY.
The problem with your post is that you blame the issue only on “the Jesuits”. The current state of affairs is only the latest consequence of the non-Catholic Vatican II Council, not just one particular order.
Pope to priests, girls are back on the menu?
NOT the Pope. Anti Pope, squatting in the seat.
That’s a dude.
I missed the Gospel in which Christ commands people to remain steeped in their sin........
So is this person a male or female? What sex are they born with? I’m confused.
