Yup, AMPU needs to fix the upper portion iof the homw page.

The longer ones at the bottom seem ok.

You miss the point. Some ECFs note this event shows Mary sinned.

Not according to tradition….according to Luke 1:1. And he was a physician.

I’m talking about the ability to hear/respond to prayer. There are Roman Catholic writings that do indeed suggest rcm (Roman Catholic Mary) knows how souls will be judged as rcm has made assurances in this matter.

So my point stands.

But now you’ve got me curious as to what other abilities Rome wrongly attributes to Mary.

When I was a Catholic, many years ago, in grade school, we were told, that if we attended mass for 9 first Fridays and 5 first Saturdays, we could get someone out of purgatory. I felt very powerful, knowing I could get someone out of purgatory. Pretty weird, huh?

So much better to get an apparition to visit us to tell us stuff that isn't there.

Do you suppose these apparitions, are demon manifestations?

Roman Catholicism has transmogrified dear Mary into a demigoddess - positioned in the spiritual hierarchy between human and God - with many pushing her as the bride of God.

It is both heresy and blasphemy.

“Pretty weird, huh?”

Just ... Wow.

And if you follow the yellow brick road, who is the man behind THAT curtain?

If God is all knowing then how does He not know a person’s thoughts?

You can’t prove any of the stuff Catholicism claims about Mary and a lot of other stuff as well.

Who ever claimed Mary asked to be impregnated? Where the heck did that come from?

If you think that God’s plan for Jesus birth would be thwarted because of the cooperation of a mere mortal human being, you all have a pretty weak and impotent god.

So why do Christians venerate a Cross?

We don't *venerate* the cross.

Honestly, Catholics are so conditioned to exalt and venerate people and objects that they cannot wrap their minds around the fact that most normal people don't.

From the context, Mary was clearly requesting his help.

'Do whatever he tells you' is not ASKING anything.

Huh?

Mary did ASK JESUS.

Your quote is what she TOLD the SERVANTS at the wedding. Nobody ever said that she asked the servants anything.

Neither do I.

We don’t have crosses hanging in our home either.

And any time I see one, it’s simply a reminder of what Jesus did for us.

My denominational affiliation is irrelevant.

My devotion is to Jesus Christ who is the One who saves me, not religions or religious organizations, which adherence to them cannot save anyone.

Why do Catholics LOVE to pigeonhole people so much?

Labels, labels everywhere and totally meaningless in God’s economy.

Is it so you all can finger point and give approval or disapproval of a person’s spirituality and relationship with God through Christ?

A pastor once said something like “And regarding praying to your loved ones in heaven. They’re up there with God and Jesus! Do you really think they are going to turn their heads from what is going on up there to see what is happening on earth?”

The Communion of Saints in Heaven are deeply concerned about events on Earth.

If this was "not in accordance to His will," yet Jesus did it anyway because Mary asked, what does that say about her influence?

Mary asked Jesus nothing.

Read the account. She made two statements and there is NO record of her making a request of Him.

Why do Catholics fabricate accounts of events regarding Mary that cannot be supported by Scripture?
