In this video we discuss why all Christians should pray the Rosary.
‘CAN’ mean.
So who were Jesus’ uncles that fathered these ‘cousins’?
There ya go: getting all technical on us.
If your earthly father was alive today, would you talk to him though others? you would do that only if you didn’t have a good relationship with your earthly father.
Again, Why would you pray to anyone other than the Father? Why not approach God Directly?
The Lord thy God is a jealous God.
WHY WOULD ANYONE ASK SOMEONE ELSE TO TALK TO GOD FOR THEM WHEN YOU CAN APPROACH HIM DIRECTLY?
CAN YOU ANSWER THAT?
You jump on tradition. That is why you don’t pray to Moses and Elijah, your tradition says otherwise.
If I was going to ask for intercession it would be Moses. He has proven to bend God’s ear. God said he trusted Moses, the only person he said that about.
You apparently don’t even know what a pagan is.
I’m not surprised.
Is it OK to pray to Old Testament heroes the same way we pray to Christian saints?
How’s that workin’ out for you?
The NJ is here already?
> Jesus himself taught us to pray; and, he didn’t mention his mother. <
Agreed. But that doesn’t mean that those words are the only thing that can be mentioned while in reverent prayer.
> So, you believe the obviously infallible Pope… <
The current pope is a buffoon, and a dangerous one at that. And as for the concept of papal infallibility, I have never accepted that idea.
Oh, and one more thing. The Gospels tell us that Mary was a very special individual. Luke say she was visited by the angel Gabriel. Mary was favored. So if someone wants to show her deep respect, or even talk to her, I see no problem with that.
Now here’s where I would have a problem, a big problem. It would be if someone elevated Mary to co-equal status with the Trinity. But I don’t see that happening here.
This is the Captain Obvious part that you guys threw out.
It doesn't say anywhere in Scripture that Sunday is the day of worship or rest, but Protestants all run off to church on Sunday.
I think you are being flexible with your rigor.
Total speculation with absolutely NO evidence.
(If there were any, it would be produced.)
Sorry, but there is ZERO record of Jesus' mom REQUESTING anything at the wedding.
Practice as you see fit, as will I. Mine will not include Mary.
Then why hasn't your current pope croaked yet?
Lutherans: Catholic Lite
Yes, and Jews use prayer beads, which is perhaps the origin of Christian rosaries and Muslims worry beads.
But so what? Muslims, Jews, Hindus and Buddhists all pray. Should Christians stop praying because non-Christians also pray? Should Christians stop using beads because non-Christians also use beads?
Sharing similar tools with non-Christian religions doesn't invalidate those tools when applied to Christian ends.
The practice likely originates from Jewish prayer beads. Not pagan.
Pagan? That’s ridiculous.
We’re the original Christians. Read history. What you’re saying is ahistorical and quite frankly Protestant propaganda.
Protestants call us pagan to try and justify their rebellion.
Or Daniel. Gabriel appeared to him twice. He told Daniel he was highly esteemed. I don’t recall Gabriel saying that to anyone else.
If your argument is based on the rigorous and pharasaical search for the word "request", this doesn't warrant a response.
