“I believe in a non-binary god, whose pronouns are plural,” Pastor Anna Helgen said. “I believe in Jesus Christ, their child, who wore a fabulous tunic and had two dads.”
THE SPARKLE CREED Rev. Rachel Small Stokes
I believe in the non-binary God whose pronouns are plural.
I believe in Jesus Christ, their child, who wore a fabulous tunic and had two dads, and who saw everyone as a sibling child of God.
I believe in the rainbow Spirit, who shatters our image of one white light and refracts it into a rainbow of gorgeous diversity.
I believe in the church of everyday saints, as numerous, creative, and resilient as patches on the AIDS quilt, whose feet are grounded in mud and whose eyes gaze at the stars in Wonder.
I believe in the calling to each of us, that love is love is love, so beloved, let us love.
I believe, glorious God. Help my unbelief.
Amen
A Lutheran church in Edina stood for the reading of the “sparkle creed” during a church service, according to a livestream available on its YouTube page.

A couple “Lutheran” denoms are extremely liberal. LC-MS and WELS are conservative and what you were used to seeing.
That is just staggering beyond belief. I wonder how many (or any) people left that church.
They said “Amen”, shouldn’t have been “Anonbinaryperson”?
Minnesota Nice goes to church....
I think the church we went to was in the Missouri Synod. It was quite conservative.
Instead of “Our Father” what do that say, “Our Whatever”?
It’s like reading an SNL parody.
Good question! This so called church is full of heretics!
I believe in one God,
the Father Almighty,
maker of heaven and earth,
and of all things visible and invisible; We believe in one God,
the Father, the Almighty,
maker of heaven and earth,
of all that is, seen and unseen. We believe in one God,
the Father, the Almighty,
maker of heaven and earth,
of all that is, seen and unseen.
And in one Lord Jesus Christ,
the only-begotten Son of God,
begotten of his Father before all worlds,
God of God, Light of Light,
very God of very God,
begotten, not made,
being of one substance with the Father;
by whom all things were made;
who for us men and for our salvation
came down from heaven,
and was incarnate by the Holy Ghost of the Virgin Mary,
and was made man;
and was crucified also for us under Pontius Pilate;
he suffered and was buried;
and the third day he rose again according to the Scriptures,
and ascended into heaven,
and sitteth on the right hand of the Father;
and he shall come again, with glory,
to judge both the quick and the dead;
whose kingdom shall have no end.
We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ,
the only Son of God,
eternally begotten of the Father,
God from God, Light from Light,
true God from true God,
begotten, not made,
of one Being with the Father.
Through him all things were made.
For us and for our salvation
he came down from heaven:
by the power of the Holy Spirit
he became incarnate from the Virgin Mary,
and was made man.
For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate;
he suffered death and was buried.
On the third day he rose again
in accordance with the Scriptures;
he ascended into heaven
and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead,
and his kingdom will have no end. We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ,
the only Son of God,
eternally begotten of the Father,
God from God, Light from Light,
true God from true God,
begotten, not made,
of one Being with the Father;
through him all things were made.
For us and for our salvation
he came down from heaven,
was incarnate of the Holy Spirit and the Virgin Mary
and became truly human.
For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate;
he suffered death and was buried.
On the third day he rose again
in accordance with the Scriptures;
he ascended into heaven
and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead,
and his kingdom will have no end.
And I believe in the Holy Ghost the Lord, and Giver of Life,
who proceedeth from the Father and the Son;
who with the Father and the Son together is worshiped
and glorified;
who spake by the Prophets.
And I believe one holy Catholic and Apostolic Church;
I acknowledge one Baptism for the remission of sins;
and I look for the resurrection of the dead,
and the life of the world to come. Amen.
My LC-MS was too. We put the fun in FUNdamentalist extremism.
If they didn’t leave when the Church hired a female lesbian pastor, then they weren’t Christians. I suspect everyone in that congregation said that creed with PRIDE.
Why women need to be kept out of leadership roles in organizations
Ok then.
They believe God is non binary. And they say Jesus is a child of said God. Apparently it is offensive to call Jesus the son of God.
These people are not quite right in the head.
BLASHEMY OF THE HOLY SPIRIT.
Professes belief in magic gay fairies
This must be one of the alcs church’s. They went woke with female pastors a while a gi
