In the Antiochian Orthodox Christian liturgy for Great and Glorious Pascha the Paschal Orthros Synaxarion states that Jesus rose after the Sabbath and that "the early Christians transferred the dignity of the sabbath to this day by calling it Kyriake (the day of the Lord)"

We wouldn’t have had to rebel if you all didn’t screw it all up.

Stop using her Bible, or you're no different from those Protestants.

The last bit of angry religuous tripe you posted drew 719 replies. And here you are again. Are you so afraid of your fraudulent faith that it compels you to attack Protestants?

You are an embarrassment to Catholicism.

That evades the question. Who told you that Revelation is canonical Scripture and the Shepherd of Hermas isn't?

Hint: It involved real decisions made by real church leaders, all of whom were Catholics, and which happened long after AD 100. Actual, documented history, not hand-waving.

Where does it say to keep Sunday holy and disregard Sabbath?

Are you a Gentile? Then observing the Sabbath does not apply to you. Only the Jews wee commanded to keep the Sabbath.

Once again everything true you got from us, the Catholic Church. Protestants didn’t exist until 1500 years later.

Very amusing. Considering the Catholic Church was founded in the 4th century.

As I've patiently explained to you many times, Catholic Rome calls Sunday "Dominica" (the Lord's Day) and Monday "Feria Secunda" (second day of the week).

Now if you want to blame pagan Rome, you may have more of a case. But they would hardly be expected to care what Genesis said.

Except that it wasn’t, and there’s absolutely no evidence to the contrary.

Ah that old canard, straight out of a Jack Chick tract!

Read more history. There was no secret Christian church. There is no history of it whatsoever.

We can track our history back to the beginning, long before Luther began his rebellion. Look at the father’s of the church, the early Christian practices, the sacrament, the councils.

I will bet my lunch money that vespa300 is a Seventh-Day Adventist or an offshoot of that religion, not any kind of Catholic.

Pope Gregory calendar I have calls it Sun Day.

That’s not Pagan Rome.
That’s the First Protesters Antichrist and Daniel’s 4th Beast..

Amazing how the Harlot daughters didn’t reply.
Their Mother had to chime in and try to defend Her Harlots daughters..

4th Day of His Work week commemorates His work of Creating the lights in the firmament.

Your Pope Gregory calendar split the two and changed them to their first and second work days..

Being able to discern that isn’t a crime.
Neither is defending Daniel’s 4th Beast and Antichrist Papacy.

But they don’t survive His Kingdom Come

Enjoy the fall Babylonian!

Read why that statement is an old anti Catholic myth.

Yes, Christians had to go back and refine the canon to eliminate uninspired books.

It is wonderful to see God work to identify and preserve Scripture - e en when people failed.

Glory to Him alone.

And thanks to men who toiled and prayed under His guidance.

Including Blessed Father Martin Luther.

The weekly Sabbath of the Jews, the seventh day of their calendar week, is from sunset on Friday until sunset on Saturday.

Many professed Christians have traditionally kept Sunday as their day of rest and of worship; others have adhered to the day set aside on the Jewish calendar.

Do you love Jesus? He said “If you love Me, keep My Commandments”. He talked about Gentiles being grafted in. The Apostle Paul said Romans 3:31
“Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.”

Wouldn't that be awful? Him not being any kind of Catholic is bad. Really bad. Or we could stick to the topic instead of making assumptions which have nothing to do with the subject at hand. Mainly quoting the Bible.

>>>I will bet my lunch money that vespa300 is a Seventh-Day Adventist or an offshoot of that religion, not any kind of Catholic.>>>

You win, I am a Christian, a protestant and then a Seventh day Adventist in that order. Grace alone, faith alone, in Christ alone, revealed in scripture alone. Truth on end time prophecy, the judgement, the law including the Sabbath, the mark of the beast, the pre advent judgement, state of the dead, I cannot find a single doctrine that is not found in the Bible. When I find a church that follows the Bible closer.....I’m there dude.

And like many if not most protestants of old....we continue to believe and preach who the great counterfeit is. She is identified in scripture, her wound has healed, and her daughters are even reaching out to her, as is the world. She will have her day again....but it will be short lived.

Thanks bud
