Father David Muscat's initial acquittal has been overturned and he has been given a six-month prison sentence suspended for two years (MaltaToday.com, May 31).
Muscat had declared that practising homosexual sin was "worse than being possessed by the devil" after a homosexual murdered a woman in Sliema, Malta.
The positive outcome of the conviction is that a courthouse has implicitly recognised the seriousness of being possessed by the devil.
Most EU countries have homosex blasphemy laws similar to Islamic blasphemy laws.

To me the most important part of this piece are the world “ acquittal overturned”. That idea coming from a nation reared for a centurt on Anglo Saxon law should scare everyone.
I remember when Malta was one of the most orthodox places in the universe. And then came Bergoglio and appointed Scicluna, and Catholic culture has been totally destroyed in Malta, which has turned out now to be a sexual freak bastion where the “rainbow flag” rules over the Cross.
Without a doubt, we need another St Peter Damian who will put a stop to and reverse the “queering of the Church.” Because this trend toward becoming Episcopal Church USA 2.0
Most of Europe in under Napoleonic Law.
