Yes I know you don’t get it. You’re hung up on the word defense and how it applies to the gospel and to our faith. Should be a simple matter to resolve but you enjoy dishing out insults to someone you know nothing about, all over strifes of words.I leave you with these three verses:

...but then the discussion might want to focus on the aggrieved if any. How long have fines been going to government instead of those actually suffering the loss?
That said the “Church” is very liberal in it’s bounty with the “world”. Any fines could impinge those efforts to mitigate suffering world wide.
