These ads are plastered all over Youtube. They don’t seem to get Him . . .

I can’t find info on that specifically.
But apparently some of their merchandise features the slogan “God is not homophobic”, and another of their ads talks about a teenager who gets pregnant and hides the fact—implying that it’s Mary. Both are blasphemous.

Thanks for looking, but that evil does not need proof.

I saw one of those commercials a while back, narrating the story of a family forced to leave their country for the usual reasons - political upheaval, criminality - showing the long lines of humanity trudging towards a better life. And then the final sentence of the narrator's voice, "Jesus was a refugee."
That told me all I need to know about who or what is behind this outfit.

“The debate over abortion is a great example of how the real Jesus too often gets lost, overlooked or distorted in debates over political and social issues,”
This is nothing but a stupid nonsensical cop out.

Yeah, I saw that too. My immediate thought was that it was just another leftist front group but nice of Fox News to confirm it.
“Listen guys, Jesus gets lost in the abortion debate and actually wouldn’t really have an opinion on ripping out your baby one limb at a time into a garbage bag.” Pfft.

Sounds like an group that would have fit in perfectly in Nazi Germany.

“’He Gets Us’ sponsored by Pfizer, and Satan.”
Just the opposite. The founder of Hobby Lobby (it’s in the article). He’s taken on TPTB supporting conservative and Christian issues.

” . . . claiming the issue has proven too divisive and loses sight of Jesus.”
I’m assuming they’re unfamiliar with Luke 12:49 - 56.

Christ came to tear the world apart, Father against Son, Mother against Daughter. Matt 10:35. They want to sell Christ without the cross

The “real Jesus” is a myth invented in the 29th century.

Sorry. 20th.
I refer to the "Jesus" of the "mainline" churches.

“Exodus 20:13 - You shall not murder.”
Abortion is not a political issue, and we fall into a trap laid for us when we think and talk about it like it is.
Feel good religion seems to be what this group is about, and many people like that.

For too many preachers, religion is a business, and they want to maximize customers. A big customer base is people who want to feel good about themselves, rather than doing the difficult task of living by scripture.

That “Jesus was a refugee” crap is infuriating. He WAS NOT a refugee, and anyone who says that doesn’t know enough about Christianity to even call themselves Christian.

If these people don't understand how Jesus was fearless in taking on the most controversial issues, they don't get Him.
He talked about loving enemies, embracing Gentiles, renouncing wealth, enduring ridicule in His name. No, Jesus did not shy away from a topic because it might be divisive.
To: Hardastarboard
Embrace the idea. Point out that Joseph and Mary traveled to Bethlehem for the purpose of a census, which was to be used by Rome for purposes of taxation. So, yes, Jesus was born 'homeless', but
only because a big government taxed them out of their house and home!(Makes just as much sense as the 'refugee' crap.)

Sounds like a cult that stole his Name. What is their stand on Salvation?
