Join with fellow FREEPERS to pray for AMERICA: For those in Authority in Government, Family, Military, Business, Healthcare, Education, Churches, and the Media. I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone: for kings and all those in authority that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. ~ 1 Timothy 2:1-2

Lord, I don't know if this is a good picture, but for those of us whom have their eyes opened, we realize we are in great danger. We have taken our relationship with You much too casually. Yes, we see glimmers of revival, but we have seen them come and go. Surely we must humble ourselves, realize that the trouble we see around the world can easily happen here also.

I see, as it were a banquet with all the tables set and a sparse amount of seniors with a few visitors. I realize the banquet is when you visit the aging, sick, incarcerated and homeless. So few participate, too busy I guess, to distracted I guess. Lord forgive us for our lack of compassion, for we too shall be in their shoes shortly.

I see, as it were, saints hiding in crawl spaces praying their hearts out like the Jews of Europe in the last great war. Shall it come to that, is that what it takes to wake us up? I pray not Lord.

And so Lord, we come to the cross, the one so few have totally layed their life down for, and we say forgive us. We and our nation have sinned against You. We have taken the cross and Your word lightly. Give our Nation a Spirit of repentance once again.

Dear Lord, You have poured water on a dry and thirsty land. You have poured out rivers of living water into my heart and streams in the desert of my soul, and I praise and bless Your holy name.

Loving Lord, my country has forgotten You and has turned her back on You, Who are the only source of blessings. We have sown the bitter winds of wrath and are beginning to reap the whirlwind, for we have turned aside from the truth of the gospel and have tried to drink the brackish waters in the broken cisterns of our lives.

Look down in pity on my country, and may Your eyes search to and fro and seek out those that know and love the truth. And Father in Your grace and pity, pour out blessings on our land and on those that love You, for the sake of Your only beloved Son, who died to rescue us all.

Bless my land and bless my people and bless me I pray, in Jesus name,

Father God,

As we think of our nation and it's people we ask that you make us, as your children, willing instruments to be us of you throughout this day and the coming weeks. ......Prepare those whose hearts are touched by your spirit to hear the message of salvation, to respond according to your will for each one...... Grant wisdom to those who carry your message - to discern and step back so that your spirit would be foremost in those conversations..... We pray there will be souls saved this day Lord. ....and messengers be fully equipped for the task before them.

Lord the world seems now to grow darker as man attempts to live without you - and you appear to have allowed this as we struggle to grasp how far this world is falling now....non-sensible and evil things, which would never be imagined possible, are willingly and openly discussed and pursued as they ‘strut their evil before us’ without shame or guilt. You know each one by name Lord, so we ask you confound and confuse them, in some cases destroy them, and protect those who are yours or will be yours in the future Lord.

We ask this in the name of your Son Jesus... for He loved us before the beginning of the world....Amen
