Reports find that while attacks on churches and pro-life institutions surge, only 37% of the US is aware of the crisis.
A new report from the Family Research Council (FRC) has documented some 420 instances of attacks on churches in the United States between 2018 and 2022. While the crisis of violence against both Catholic and Christian churches is disheartening, so too is a new report from the Becket Fund for Religious Liberty, which recently found that only 37% of Americans have heard about the crisis at all.
The FRC has been tracking attacks on churches within the US since January 2018 and their records continue until September 2022. In that time-frame, the organization has noted an overwhelming amount of attacks on churches, in the form of vandalism, arson, bomb threats, and more. It should be noted that the 420 recorded attacks were only on churches, but the figure rises to nearly 500 when taking pro-life pregnancy centers into consideration.
The report stated that “Americans seem increasingly comfortable lashing out at church buildings,” and suggests that Christians’ pro-life beliefs are being marginalized. Furthermore, they consider the abundance of attacks to be a symptom of “a collapse in societal reverence.”
According to CBN, the Department of Homeland Security’s National Terrorism Advisement System has warned that the Christmas season, as well as the upcoming anniversary of January 6, could present threat actors with more opportunities for violence. The DHS has warned that potential targets include faith-based institutions, LGBT communities, and minority groups.
While the FRC is drawing attention to the growing plight of church attacks within the US, the Becket Fund for Religious Freedom is highlighting the scant levels of awareness of them. Becket recently released a survey which found that only 37% of Americans have even heard......

But of course they’re unaware.
They can’t go having the public know about the true domestic extremists: The violent left, protected by our government.
420? That’s so high.
I saw that.
The takeover of our media by the Left was a vitally important and destructive act. People said "Nobody watches TV or reads the online news and the printed papers are dead. People under 30 only see news while marooned at their grandparents' house for Thanksgiving and Christmas."
But the media set up daily slander and impeachment to belittle and denigrate President Trump and the media totally ignores the Biden girl sniffing and the Hunter corrupt financial payoff deals.
Media made all the JFK intern sex trysts disappear and made Watergate into an epic event on daily TV. We have no major newspaper or TV network that brings out the conservative side.
Everyone feels justified in doing anything to Trump and us as domestic terrorists and we all had it coming to us if the government resorts to massive arrests and violence soon.
Genesis 1:29
“And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.”
I had to read the title twice. A 420 church?
A few years ago, I was on my church’s prayer team and one of my regular prayers was that our church would be better known and that it would attract new members.
Then on Christmas Eve, some Satanists with spray cans covered our building’s exterior with Satanic signs and hate messages. This got the local news crews to come out and my pastor’s face was on all three local 6 o’clock news reports.
And this publicity did bring in some new people but, frankly, most were curiosity seekers. Our grounds crew did some quick work covering up the defacements as well as possible and the Christmas services went on as scheduled.
But God answered prayer, even if it was not like I imagined it when praying. We got free publicity on all three newscasts.
Wow, that’s more than the number of so-call “attacks” against trannies.
76 church arson cases in the US this year, so far.
I don’t know if I would call this an “attack,” but I took it as one. I once volunteered at a non-profit ministry for the blind, and received a letter from Americans for Separation of Church and State, “reminding” us that we are forbidden from engaging in political discourse or from endorsing candidates. The letter was a veiled threat that they would be watching us and report us to the IRS to have our 501(c)(3) status revoked. I shredded the letter and returned it to them.
