I [previously] did a Facebook/YouTube live presentation with my colleagues, Amir Tsarfati and Pastor Barry Stagner. It was titled “Doctrine Matters.” And indeed, it does! We considered a number of theologies that do not allow their followers to understand the times or become watchmen on the wall.
I thought I would summarize that discussion in this magazine format. Please understand that not every church in a particular denomination or stream of theology holds to some of this aberrant theology! A good illustration of this is many in the Assemblies of God are pushing back against Kingdom Now/ Dominion Theology, so prevalent in some Charismatic churches today. I’ll explain in a moment.
So, here’s a short list of theologies you might want to understand, and particularly if you are looking for a new church. I suggest you avoid any church that embraces:
Amillennialism: The Millennium Began at the Cross and We’re in it Now!
Tragically, almost all major denominations embrace this today. The Millennium is not literal, in spite of the fact that Revelation 20 says it is a thousand years multiple times.

We, the saints and saved, will spend that same thousand years in Heaven to rest, recuperate, grow, and work and whatever else we might be doing.
That seems to be what is suggested when you read Revelations straight up

That is what I believe the scripture teaches. Pastor Jack just finished a great series on the book of Revelation a bit ago..
So the ‘helicopter ride’ is the Rapture?
What if That is a ‘Pipe Dream?’
Read again ... satan is chained for th thousand year millennium and released for a short season at the end, before the eternal unverse is brought in. Clearly in the Revelation satan is chained for the thousand years.
At the end of the Tribulation, Jesus Christ will return with the hosts of heaven as well as the Church to establish the Messianic Kingdom on earth. His Kingdom will last for a thousand years. Since the Church (His bride) comes back with Him, this would reinforce the truth of the rapture. It proves that since our Heavenly Father has not appointed the church unto His wrath, He has already recieved these believers by taking (snatching) them away from the Tribulation to come to the earth. When alluding to this event, Paul the Apostle calls it a “mystery”. Some believers will have “ears to hear” the truth while some won’t. My question is “will these who are not looking for the rapture be taken up to meet Jesus in the air?” Or will they be left behind. I have sought an answer for some time but it eludes me. Anyone know?
The astonishing thing the Lord has shown to me is that it is the presence of The Holy Spirit in the born again spirit that resonates with the shout (for the dead in Christ) and the voice of the archangel (for the alive in Christ) instantly changing us into higher dimensional beings who will not longer be visible to the non-saved. THEN in our new bodies we are drawn up to meet the Lord in the air, seeing Him as He is now because we at that moment be like Him, dimension-wise (1 John 3:2).
Every soul is living in the last generation. Why? Because every soul dies with his generation. Jesus will come when the Father sends Him. I believe early Christians were much more heaven focused and saw death and not the rapture as the door to heaven. Consider Christians who have laid their life down, looking beyond this temporal place to a place in heaven. 100 years is nothing. We will all leave this earth very, very soon, with or without the rapture.
Jesus Christ’s Millennial Reign begins after Armageddon.
The saints already dead or taken will come with Him (Revelation chapter 19).
If I’m a Christian who hasn’t cared about a/pre/post millennial theories for 50 years, does that mean I’m not saved? Or just that I’m far more concerned with living for Christ than in when and how He returns - particularly since He told us no one knows....
Whether yo0u7 believe in the pre trib rapture or not is NOT a salvific issue! see you in the clouds ...
Outstanding!
In the last days scoffers will come ...
Excellent post.
I agree: it must be all because it’s His Church, His Body, that is taken out.
Sorry my man, but even though I comprehend what you're saying, it still sounds like something out of Star Trek. No offense.
I know! It sounds like using the Star Trek transporters! But God speaks and worlds leap into existence, so creating a few hundred million new glorified bodies is nothing of a stretch. We know there are ‘higher’ dimensional realities because the scenes in the Bible show them to us, like Daniel chaopter five, and Jesus entering and leaving a locked and shuttered room without using a door or window, just appearing there from some where/when.
Actually, considering the chronology of both, it’s more like Star Trek sounds like something out of the Bible.

You forgot your sarcasm tag brother :)
You got it. Our hope in Christ is for meaningful vocations in the present, and our bodily resurrection at the end of time. Meanwhile, we can draw a bead on the next 500 years, confident that every act of faithful obedience now will matter then.
Finally, something useful out of Jan Markell. Amillennials will say that Satan was bound at the cross and then use some contorted reasoning to explain how Satan can be prowling about looking to devour per 1 Peter 5:8. Post Millennialists think the world will be “Christianized” and get better and better. I thought World War 1 and then 2 would’ve killed this silliness off (not to mention 2020 and 2021). Preterism is fixated on the many timing statements seemingly content to ignore virtually everything else. So that when Jesus warns of wars and rumors of war and nation rising against nation and kingdom against kingdom that gets dumbed down to Rome putting down the Jewish revolt in 70 AD.
What Jan misses is that sitting down with somebody for an hour going over Matt 24 and Rev 6 can likewise disprove her Pre-Tribulation rapture. I’ve done it.
