There is no fear in love [dread does not exist], but full-grown (complete, perfect) love turns fear out of doors and expels every trace of terror! By fearful and glorious things [that terrify the wicked but make the godly sing praises] do You answer us in righteousness (rightness and justice), O God of our salvation, You Who are the confidence and hope of all the ends of the earth and of those far off on the seas; (Psalm 65:5)
Oh! Father God! How we love Your Word! Truly it is life to us. You give man eyes to see and ears to hear, but to Your children You also give eyes to see the invisible truths and ears to hear Your precious still, small voice. How wonderful is our salvation. In the terror-filled world in which we are living, we can rest peacefully and live in this scripture! Selah. We will calmly meditate on this.
You have put a new song in our mouth, a song of praise to our God. Many shall see and fear (revere and worship) and put their trust and confident reliance in the Lord. With You, we call ourselves blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) because we have made the Lord our refuge and trust, and we turn not to the proud or to followers of false gods. (Ps. 40:3,4) We pray for citizens of our great Nation. Open eyes to Your love and Your truth and Your Life. In seeing and knowing You, choosing life is an obvious choice. We pray that You would release an army of laborers with the Good News that our loving Jesus is Lord. Prepare hearts to receive His love by Your Holy Spirit’s conviction concerning righteousness. We know that our decisions deserve Your fierce judgment, but we ask You to look on the blood-bought children who need Your deliverance from those who attempt to oppress. Help our people and our leaders discern false gods.
We notice the number of heroes You have graciously given our Nation. I don’t know enough to list them all and I want to include all those intercessors laboring alone in their prayer closets, but right now, President Trump, Elon Musk and Kari Lake rise in that list. We thank You for each one and ask for Your protection for them. We see that they have the welfare of our Republic forefront in their thinking and actions. Bless the work of their hands and cause them to be a success. Show them Your plan for accomplishing those dreams You have put in their hearts to achieve. Wonderful God, we are so grateful that You hear us and answer us in Your faithful uprightness. We pray in the name of Jesus and give You praise.
