Waiting In The Wings For An Economic Collapse - The Digital Dollar

Are you ready for the government to monitor what you buy and sell on a daily basis? Because that is what could happen if you start using the new "digital dollar" that they are now testing.

Of course using the new "digital dollar" would be voluntary at first, but what if it eventually becomes mandatory?

The use of physical currency continues to decline year after year, and some governments in Europe have already taken radical measures to phase out the use of cash. Many among the elite consider digital currencies to be the key to a whole new era of strict governmental control over the way that we live our lives, and there would be so much potential for abuse.

On Tuesday, an extremely ambitious 12 week test of the "digital dollar" was publicly announced. As you can see, some of the biggest companies in the financial world are participating...

Global banking giants are starting a 12-week digital dollar pilot with the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, the participants announced on Tuesday.

If people knew what this was really all about they’d be in the streets.

It’s happening. Major retailers have cut WAY back on the amount of cash in registers. Try to pay for something with more than a $50. Getting to be almost impossible.

The squeeze is on.

Remind yourself, 100 times a day if necessary, that God is in control, and do not fear the one who can kill your body.

Why allow the government to get involved in this with a new digital system? I pay “cash” for virtually nothing now. Almost every purchase or payment is made using a credit card (balance ALWAYS paid in full every month), a debit card or an ACH payment.

There are exceptions where a person prefers cash and I’m OK with that if I know in advance.

How does it track what you buy?

The government IS the system and it’s not new. They are tracking everything you pay with your credit card (balance ALWAYS paid in full every month), your debit card and your ACH payment.

I don’t understand that you don’t understand this?

The idea is a digital dollar would be some form of crypto-currency that will record every purchase made with that dollar. So if you use your dig-dollar to buy steak the govt could assign a carbon price to it, plus/minus depending on how they value it. Steak bad, insects good...as an example...if you exceed your carbon allowance you could be cut off or buy a credit.

In the rare event of receiving a check I take a phone photo of it and the money goes into the bank where I see the new balance number. The number changes as bills are paid automatically without me writing a check or doing anything at all. I just watch it happen if I want. I wave my credit card in the air and it pays for things. Later, that bill is paid off automatically from the checking account. Entities and people paying me money send it right into my account and the number changes again.

It seems like I’m already in a digital money world.

So, you’re saying that we would be able to neither buy nor sell without the government’s mark of approval?

I wonder if even the liberals would go for it. I know the vast majority of liberals are useful idiots and will do exactly what the government tells them to do to prove they are good little obedient serfs. But are there enough to make a majority who support this?

Actually I DO understand it. The government can, in fact, see my credit card charges, ACH payments and debit payments IF THEY FIRST GET A WARRANT. Where I don’t want something “traceable” I pay actual cash. For example I pay my restaurant bills with my credit card but I ALWAYS tip with cash.

“… It seems like I’m already in a digital money world.”
**************************************************

Indeed. But it’s private and not available to government agencies without a warrant. It’s very convenient… no more checks “lost” or delayed in the mail.

We always tip with cash, too.

But, do you think the admins since obutthole actually think they need or even want to obtain warrants if they desire to see US citizen’s payments through debit or credit cards? No way. The fedgov is probably viewing every transaction done with credit/debit. Remember, the banks having to report transactions over $600?

If there is an economic collapse, How is the digital dollar going to change anything?

There will already be a loss of confidence in the paper dollar. Why would folks want a vapor ware dollar?

I dunno. Maybe a better question is "Are you ready for the BS civil forfeiture theft to extend to all of you bank and brokerage accounts?"

Easier to carry a plastic card to the market than a wheelbarrow full of worthless cash when you need a loaf of bread?

Never a good idea to back up a currency on digital keystrokes. Socialists, commies, RINOs, and rats love the idea though, they’ll be able to wipe out $31,000,000,000,000 in debt that way and keep the redistribution of wealth scheme going.

One is fool for not realizing that the US Gummit has evolved in history’s largest ponzi scheme. But the politicians will never tell you that.
