Jareb and Petra Knott, coauthors of the book The Science of Deliverance: How Spiritual Freedom Brings Physical Healing, operate a deliverance ministry to help set people free from demonic influence. Petra explained why she believes so many people today are turning to the occult.
“The fascination with evil in society right now — we have a huge interest in the supernatural and people don’t know where to turn to learn about that,” she said. “So, they’re turning to the wrong side.”
Petra said fear is another factor that leads people toward these practices.
“Witchcraft gives people the illusion of control in their life, and so there’s a huge pull to witchcraft because people feel like they can do the right things and cause their life to be better,” she said. “And then the church … has been reticent to talk about these things, so we’ve left a void, and now we’ve got people who go to the church and ask questions, and they’re not getting answers.”

When people turn away from God, something will move in to fill the void so it’s either God or Satan.
The seemingly innocent Harry Potter franchise got kids interested. I agree, this illusion of control can be very enticing to kids.
With all those occult practices, they ARE calling up real demons.

Pop culture. A lot of people thought Harry Potter was innocent stuff for children at the time, but a lot of names and places in the series come straight from occultism and demonology.
They’re trying to get an unjust advantage over their neighbors.
You need to be familiar with sacred places to feel the difference between those places inhabited by angels and those inhabited by the demonic. People today aren’t even searching for—let alone actually finding—sacred places.

Lots of reasons. Not hard.
I spent a few years in the Amazon, witchcraft shops in every town, seven day 24 hr town gatherings at the square, praying that their 4 year old boys would stop being found with their hearts cut out- Satan is real, demons are real, possession is real, with Halloween coming up -DO NOT PARTICIPATE.
That counts but I am thinking about more prosaic locations such as churches and even nature when faith in God is taken seriously. It can be hospitals, concert venues, cathedrals, temples, synagogues and even mosques. People sincerely seeking to worship God have angels near them and you can come to recognize the presence of good or evil spirits.
This is the Liberal World Order that Biden is spending billions of our tax dollars to support.

Wrong. People overall know how to use the Internet, and despite it being increasingly owned by the Left, one can still find the gospel and Bible Truth. Instead, the real real is that every generation since WW2 has been the most willfully Biblically ignorant and morally confused America has ever raised, and only increasingly so, while being baptized in the most pervasive, persuasive perverted media purveyors ever.
But the reason for the indulgence is not simply the former aspects, but because as with Buddhism with its variants, there is no substantive moral standards, if any, in the occult - dispensing with conscience and guilt.
King Saul consulted a medium to call up or down Samuel (A prophet not a demon). The medium screamed when Samuel appeared, and some speculate her powers never worked before. Samuel rebuked Saul for consulting a medium. And apparently Samuel's life was cut short(not immediately) and not consulting the Lord and consulting a medium was included in the reasons why.
People take up witchcraft because they do do not want to follow *God’s commandemtnts.
Witchcraft is easy, it puts you in control…and you are at the controls, all the way to hell.
