Pope in Kazakhstan: “Man is the way for all the religions.”

The Pope completed his visit to Kazakhstan with a renewed emphasis on the central theme of his 38th apostolic journey: peace. Shortly before, he signed the Final Declaration upon the conclusion of the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions

“The path of interreligious dialogue is a shared path to peace and for peace; as such, it is necessary and irrevocable”, the Pope remarked in his last speech in Kazakhstan, delivered at the Palace of Independence in Nur-Sultan, following the reading of the Final Declaration and conclusion of the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions. His Holiness thus referred to the central theme of his 38th apostolic journey, stating that “interreligious dialogue is no longer merely something expedient: it is an urgent-needed and incomparable service to humanity.”

“The path of interreligious dialogue is a shared path to peace and for peace; as such, it is necessary and irrevocable”

Everything Beroglio declares in his Frankenchurch is "irrevocable" while he ignores his predecessors, Pope Benedict's Summorum Ponticum or Pope St. Pius V's Bull Quo Primum.

I guess he could counter that Jesus was a man.

Whether the topic is religion, economics, nationalism or the causes of war, can someone explain to me any meaningful difference between Bergoglio’s “magisterium” and the philosophy expressed by John Lennon in his most embarrassing ditty, “Imagine”?

Imagine there’s no heaven
It’s easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us, only sky
...
Imagine there’s no countries
It isn’t hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion, too
Imagine all the people
Livin’ life in peace
...
Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man

So, he is saying the secular life and perspective are always to be prefered and that we are to ‘worship’ the so called creations of Man? I don’t think so. At least not for me.
Spiritual guidance helps to sustain me when all of mankind appears to fail or disappoint me. Lack of spiritual faith or faith in anything other than what our five basic sense pick up probably leaves one more prone to depression, apathy or chronic cynicism.

“Man is the way for all the religions”

Is this like “Man is the measure of all things?” Anyway, it does not sound like Catholic theology.

what does “Man is the way for all the religions.” even mean?

Man has been trying to get to heaven on his own ever since the Tower of Babel and probably before that.

There are only 2 ways to get to heaven. Never sin or be forgiven. Nobody does the first one, except Jesus and he was in very nature God incarnate. And there is only one name given by which man can be forgiven, Jesus.

God won’t judge man on a bell curve of humanity, or the Islamic scales of justice, or participation trophies, or any other human standard.

God will judge man by his own standard. “Be holy for I am holy.” Leviticus 19:2, Leviticus 20:26, 1 Peter 1:16 and “Be perfect for I am perfect” Matthew 5:48

Hebrews 10:14 For by one sacrifice he has made perfect forever those who are being made holy.

Isaiah 1:18
“Come now, let us settle the matter,” says the Lord. “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool.

It was inevitable that there would be a socialist Pope, particularly since Paul II had such an important impact in the Cold War and the end of the Soviet era. They had to go after the Papacy. The left goes after everything their unimaginative little minds see as an obstacle to their pathetic vision of utopia.

There are only two religions.

The one where you know you can’t earn salvation so God gives you the free gift of salvation.

All the rest have you working for your own salvation, and none of them can tell you if you’ve been successful doing so.

Sexist curmudgeon.

Inter-faith dialogue seems pointless to me if the leaders then go back home and encourage their adherents to do bad things in the name of false gods. The only useful inter-faith dialogue would be where those with a sound faith convince those without one to follow a new path. And man is not the answer to that at all.

Imagine there’s no bingo ...

Migh I Suggs an introduction to the “I Am” statements made by Christ. Inter religious dialogue brings terrible paganism in. The narrow road of the few is the only way.

It is what he’s saying, this sinful, arrogant and fallible man who openly rejects Biblical teaching. Man can never be the way, only Jesus is the way, the truth and the life, and no man or woman comes to the Father but through Him. That old Communist smells like the False Prophet or is a foreshadowing of him.
