1 Peter 3:8-17 Finally, all of you, have unity of mind, sympathy, brotherly love, a tender heart, and a humble mind. Do not repay evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary, bless, for to this you were called, that you may obtain a blessing. For “Whoever desires to love life and see good days, let him keep his tongue from evil and his lips from speaking deceit, let him turn away from evil and do good; let him seek peace and pursue it. For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears are open to their prayer. But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.”
Now who is there to harm you if you are zealous for what is good? But even if you should suffer for righteousness' sake, you will be blessed. Have no fear of them, nor be troubled, but in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect, having a good conscience, so that, when you are slandered, those who revile your good behavior in Christ may be put to shame. For it is better to suffer for doing good, if that should be God's will, than for doing evil.
Father, We thank You for the grace You have given us to do these difficult things You ask of us. As we see the world around us going from bad to worse, our natural inclination is to become anger and retaliate. Lord, Please give us the strength and wisdom to respond in a Christlike manner, in spite of being hampered by our sin prone nature.
We lift up all those in positions of authority over us and pray for them, that they would each have their own, personal, Come to Jesus moment. Reach down and touch their hearts to bring them to a place of repentance and salvation. You have done if for other leaders in the past who were worse than those we are facing now.
As we continue to see things deteriorate, help us to keep our focus on You. Give us the very words to speak to others when they see the peace You have to offer. May we also say with Habakkuk.....
We lift up all those who are imprisoned unjustly, those that the evil ones among us are persecuting for fabricated crimes. You indeed know what it is like to be falsely accused and punished, but it is still unjust and we know You hate injustice.
Please move in a miraculous way to have all of them freed, especially those connected any way with January 6 and bring those who perpetrated the injustice into Your divine justice.
In the meantime, pour out Your abundant grace on them and bring them into close and abiding fellowship with You. Comfort them, protect them, heal them, and give them Your peace and set them free, both spiritually and physically.
We ask You to intervene in our elections because we know that the enemy would cheat and steal their way into power again. Please block and expose their efforts and place into positions of political power those You would have to be there. Thwart their efforts to work evil.
Thank You for hearing and answering our prayers. Amen.

FATHER, our nation is so very ill. We are weakened and
despondent as we observe countless families losing their
homes. Our installed leaders have no pity for
they continue to throw our money into the bottomless pit which is this Hell.
