Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem

Genesis 36
Esau’s Descendants
36 This is the account of the family line of Esau (that is, Edom).
2 Esau took his wives from the women of Canaan: Adah daughter of Elon the Hittite, and Oholibamah daughter of Anah and granddaughter of Zibeon the Hivite— 3 also Basemath daughter of Ishmael and sister of Nebaioth.
4 Adah bore Eliphaz to Esau, Basemath bore Reuel, 5 and Oholibamah bore Jeush, Jalam and Korah. These were the sons of Esau, who were born to him in Canaan.
6 Esau took his wives and sons and daughters and all the members of his household, as well as his livestock and all his other animals and all the goods he had acquired in Canaan, and moved to a land some distance from his brother Jacob. 7 Their possessions were too great for them to remain together; the land where they were staying could not support them both because of their livestock. 8 So Esau (that is, Edom) settled in the hill country of Seir.
9 This is the account of the family line of Esau the father of the Edomites in the hill country of Seir.
10 These are the names of Esau’s sons:
Eliphaz, the son of Esau’s wife Adah, and Reuel, the son of Esau’s wife Basemath.
11 The sons of Eliphaz:
Teman, Omar, Zepho, Gatam and Kenaz.
12 Esau’s son Eliphaz also had a concubine named Timna, who bore him Amalek. These were grandsons of Esau’s wife Adah.
13 The sons of Reuel:
Nahath, Zerah, Shammah and Mizzah. These were grandsons of Esau’s wife Basemath.
14 The sons of Esau’s wife Oholibamah daughter of Anah and granddaughter of Zibeon, whom she bore to Esau:
Jeush, Jalam and Korah.
15 These were the chiefs among Esau’s descendants:
The sons of Eliphaz the firstborn of Esau:
Chiefs Teman, Omar, Zepho, Kenaz, 16 Korah,[a] Gatam and Amalek. These were the chiefs descended from Eliphaz in Edom; they were grandsons of Adah.
17 The sons of Esau’s son Reuel:
Chiefs Nahath, Zerah, Shammah and Mizzah. These were the chiefs descended from Reuel in Edom; they were grandsons of Esau’s wife Basemath.
18 The sons of Esau’s wife Oholibamah:
Chiefs Jeush, Jalam and Korah. These were the chiefs descended from Esau’s wife Oholibamah daughter of Anah.
19 These were the sons of Esau (that is, Edom), and these were their chiefs.
20 These were the sons of Seir the Horite, who were living in the region:
Lotan, Shobal, Zibeon, Anah, 21 Dishon, Ezer and Dishan. These sons of Seir in Edom were Horite chiefs.
22 The sons of Lotan:
Hori and Homam.[b] Timna was Lotan’s sister.
23 The sons of Shobal:

Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem

Oh LORD, Our One And Only God!
How Wonderful,
How Excellent,
How Glorious Is Your Most Holy Name!
How Fitting and How Good It Is To Praise You,
and How Humbling It Is to Even Begin to Recognize
the Extent of Your Glory!
For Your Are Without Limits,
Eternal,
Immortal,
Omnipotent and All-Knowing.
You All The God Who Sees All
and Hears The Restless Whisperings of my own Heart.
Forgive Us Our Own Sins, Dear Father,
For if we say we don't sin,
we are liars.
Forgive us Both the sins of commission and omission
against our neighbor,
for none of us is Perfect.
Only You Are Perfect, Dear Father.
Let all that has been Concealed
Be Revealed.
Father, We Pray For The Peace Of Jerusalem,
According To Your Will and Promise.
We Pray That You Will Forgive The Sins
of Our Own Nation,
and Lead us all to Godly Repentance.
Create in Us Clean Hearts, Oh LORD,
and Renew a Right Spirit Within Us.
This we Pray Together,
As We Await Your Messiah,
Blessed Be He,
To Set Up His Kingdom,
And Make All Things Right.
God Bless America.

My sister has twin grandsons who just turned nine in June. From Day One we knew they were not Identical Twins from one egg, but Fraternal Twins from two different eggs. The older of the two, by a few minutes, is solid, stocky and very conservative in his ways. He obeys the rules, does his homework, practices the piano diligently, and reads the ingredients on packages of food before he will eat it. He has a beautiful ruddy complexion and the most gorgeous curly red hair I have ever seen.
The younger twin is an exact opposite. Thin, wiry, and constantly on the move, he has a mischievous smile, and is always playing jokes on people. He likes to eat hot dogs and pizza, and whatever else is for dinner, without reading the ingredients. He takes piano lessons, but would rather play electric guitar. His hair is the lightest color blond you can imagine, and just hangs limply on his head. Not only do the twins not look alike, their personalities are as different as night and day. Both are great kids.
Bear with me for the next couple of days, as Chapter 36 and 37 are full of "Begats", those Passages of Scripture that a lot of people skip over. I promised you I would NOT skip over anything this time around, and it turns out that these chapters are very important in the History of the Hebrew People. Chapter 36 is about what became of Jacob's older twin brother Esau. Esau was the macho, hairy, conventional brother who sold his birthright for a bowl of lentil soup. He also didn't handle adversity very well, and had difficulty "thinking outside the box." And yet, he was a dutiful son, a skilled hunter, and is a model for us with regards to forgiveness and reconciliation.
Jacob, the younger of the two, was not big on hunting and fishing, and prefered to hang out at home. The Bible tells us he was smooth-skinned and not hairy at all. The Bible also tells us that he was a trickster and didn't hesitate to bend the rules to get what he wanted. He seems to have met his match with his Father-in-Law Laban, but finally moves back home and reconciles with his brother. Together they grieve and bury their father Isaac in the Cave of Machpelia, but now go their separate ways. Esau has three wives and has plenty of children to start his own tribe. These become the People who inhabit the area now encompassed by Jordan and Saudi Arabia. They will figure prominantly later on in the Bible, so it is important to get to know them and understand their origins. It is the reason Arabic is called a "Semitic Language", and Arab People are called "Semites." They are the descendants of Esau, Ishmael, and Abraham, all of whom were the descendants of Shem, Son of Noah.
So, while not Identical, the Jews and the Arabs are Fraternal.
If everyone realized that, maybe the world would be a different place.
Come and Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.
"He was delivered up for our trespasses and raised for our justification." (Romans 4:25)
God Bless America.
Blessings To All Who Visit This Garden of Prayer.

Psalm 40
To the leader. Of David. A Psalm.
1 I waited patiently for the Lord;
he inclined to me and heard my cry.
2 He drew me up from the desolate pit,*
out of the miry bog,
and set my feet upon a rock,
making my steps secure.
3 He put a new song in my mouth,
a song of praise to our God.
Many will see and fear,
and put their trust in the Lord.
4 Happy are those who make
the Lord their trust,
who do not turn to the proud,
to those who go astray after false gods.
5 You have multiplied, O Lord my God,
your wondrous deeds and your thoughts towards us;
none can compare with you.
Were I to proclaim and tell of them,
they would be more than can be counted.
6 Sacrifice and offering you do not desire,
but you have given me an open ear.*
Burnt-offering and sin-offering
you have not required.
7 Then I said, ‘Here I am;
in the scroll of the book it is written of me.*
8 I delight to do your will, O my God;
your law is within my heart.’
9 I have told the glad news of deliverance
in the great congregation;
see, I have not restrained my lips,
as you know, O Lord.
10 I have not hidden your saving help within my heart,
I have spoken of your faithfulness and your salvation;
I have not concealed your steadfast love and your faithfulness
from the great congregation.
11 Do not, O Lord, withhold
your mercy from me;
let your steadfast love and your faithfulness
keep me safe for ever.
12 For evils have encompassed me
without number;
my iniquities have overtaken me,
until I cannot see;
they are more than the hairs of my head,
and my heart fails me.
13 Be pleased, O Lord, to deliver me;
O Lord, make haste to help me.
14 Let all those be put to shame and confusion
who seek to snatch away my life;
let those be turned back and brought to dishonour
who desire my hurt.
15 Let those be appalled because of their shame
who say to me, ‘Aha, Aha!’
16 But may all who seek you
rejoice and be glad in you;
may those who love your salvation
say continually, ‘Great is the Lord!’
17 As for me, I am poor and needy,
but the Lord takes thought for me.
You are my help and my deliverer;
do not delay, O my God.

You see the differences of fraternal twins like animal litters. I’ve seen each kitten in a litter with different colors and different personalities.
Joining in prayer, left that other, for the Peace of Jerusalem and for our beloved America.

Do your sisters twins fight as much as those two “fraternal” middle-eastern “brothers” do? Probably not. LOL!

They do. And they rat each other out as well. LOL. Always over silly things though...not as serious as a Birthright or a Father’s Blessing.
