I went to bed early last night asking God what I should write. I woke up at 2 and remembered reading Rees Howells book Intercessor and falling asleep even though it is amazing. I woke up later and started reading the news, I found myself wide awake. The next morning a friend sent me a prayer for those who are under a spirit of slumber, and in deed there is such a thing, how appropriate!. So this is my prayer for today.

Lord Jesus many in your church desire revival, yet a spirit of slumber has captured your people. We have been bombarded with distractions and have become addicted to the internet and entertainment. We have a hard time concentrating and staying focused during our quiet time with you. It is all backwards. Do we really need a disaster to wake us up? As we see our nation slowly come apart do we finally cry out when we suffer the same as what we see in other nations right now?

Lord wake us up so that our relationship with you would be restored. May we learn to sacrifice for others as our ancestors and those in other parts of the world do now.

In Jesus Name, Amen!!!

Dear Lord, we beseech Thee to purge the monstrous Satanic evil that has seized control of our institutions and government ! Bring these evil individuals to justice ! Strike down these wicked individuals and institutions that blatantly and audaciously lie to the public about their true (evil) intentions while painting good people as the real enemy !

Do not let these servants of darkness prevail over Your children ! Send forth Your angels to liberate us, oh, Lord ! Hear our cries and help us, please, dear Lord !
