Francis appointed John Dolan, 60, San Diego auxiliary bishop under homosexualist Neo-Cardinal McElroy, as new Phoenix Bishop on June 10 (1.2M Catholics), accepting the resignation of Phoenix Bishop Thomas Olmsted, 75.
Olmsted signed the famous April statement against the German prelates and their Synodal Way.
Dolan is a signee of a Februar 2021 statement supporting homosexual fornication among young people. Phoenix is the fifth-largest city in the US.

Exactly right. Bishop Olmsted has laid a lot of good groundwork in the time that he was here. No matter how this new bishop turns out, it's now up to us at the parish and individual level, with God's grace, to hold the line where it really counts. Our hope is in Christ: Discouragement and despair are not options.
I wonder if Francis is himself homosexual. That would explain the whole corpus of his pontificate.
I’m in the Tucson diocese now after living for years in Scottsdale. Our bishop is a bleeding heart liberal who loves the illegals streaming across the border, but at least he’s not a homo supporter AFAIK.

No. He waters down truth because of a false, exaggerated concept of mercy. Thinks he’s being kind and merciful to people in irregular situations, or wounded or mentally ill people by coddling them in sin and/or serious disorientation/dysfunction.
Pope Benedict said charity without truth becomes insipid.
