On the other hand, however, it also opens up to all those who want to hold on to the traditions of the Church and the revealed faith possibilities for action that previously seemed unthinkable. The enormous differences with which the bishops are reacting to the attempt to abolish tradition once and for all, a campaign started with Traditionis Custodes, indicate the kind of situation the Church will have to face in the future.

Civil War among Bishops or an actual schism perhaps.
Depends on how woke the money greasing the gears of the College of Cardinals.

So there would be three popes living at the same time?
Didn’t that happen back in the 14th century?

Interesting article.
Francis is a nasty, spiteful and, I think, fundamentally evil little man. But I’m afraid hoping he’ll go away soon is hoping in vain.
But it does certainly highlight the problems, not only with his faux papacy, but with the view of the papacy that has been with us since the 19th century. Also, it is forcing people to clarify the difference between the Magisterium and any old thing that pops into a Pope’s head (and I hate to say it, but JPII also had a tendency to forget this).
And, of course, we are getting to understand true Tradition and sort it out in terms of faith and religious practice from simply a longing for old cultural customs, something the TLM people sometimes get into.

Frankie has thoroughly disgraced himself; worse he has disgraced the Throne of Peter. If I were Japanese, I would recommend that he end his time in office by performing seppuku ... but that would damn him to hell. I’d rather he repent.
