The Russian Church' Speaker Calls the "Culture of Cancellation" a Self-Reprimand of Civilization

Moscow, April 29, Interfax - The Head of the Synodal Department for Church, Society and Media Relations Vladimir Legoyda has said that so-called "culture of abolition" of all Russian, which is being approved in the West today, destructive.

"This whole "cancellation culture" personally seems to me to be a self-accusation of modern civilization. Stupidity of greater destructiveness is hard to imagine. When Dostoevsky courses are canceled at universities, participation in the Tchaikovsky competition is excluded, or athletes are not allowed anywhere, it all looks monstrous," he said in an interview published on Friday by Rossiyskaya Gazeta.

Legoyda expressed the hope that in Russia they would never say in response: and now we will not read your Shakespeare! "We will, we will. Read, appreciate and tell you more about it," he said.

Russian Orthodox Church speaker has also asked, "where will our sworn friends put Thomas Mann's phrase about "holy Russian literature". "Crossed out? Will they edit it? Apparently, we will have to tell them later not only about Dostoevsky, but also about Thomas Mann. We'll tell you. With pleasure," he concluded.

This patriarch may not know that politics runs downstream of culture.

I’m really stunned at the insanity of this Russian-hatred: Dostoyevsky, Tchaikovsky, innocent Russian opera singers and conductors…it’s one of the stupidest things I’ve seen in this whole propaganda war.

Even during the Cold War, we had cultural exchanges.

I’m really stunned at the insanity of this Russian-hatred:

There is a full-court press of media, social, academic, and of course government pressure to support the proxy-war on Russia. And sadly, most Americans rise-up once again to chant their slogans and wave their silly flags for another war.

Just like all the other wars of our deep-state, in a few years, this (at very best) will prove to be an embarrassment, and at worst, it could severely damage this country.
