Parents in the Austin, Texas, area expressed outrage after a technology teacher read a Dr. Seuss-style poem mocking “evangelicals” and parents who have expressed concerns about books they call pornographic.
Krista Tyler, instructional technology specialist at Grisham Middle School in the Round Rock Independent School District (ISD) read the poem at the Leander ISD school board meeting Dec. 16.
“Everyone in Leander liked reading a lot/ but some evangelicals in Leader did not,” Tyler begins. “These kooks hated reading, the whole reading season./ Please don’t ask why, no one quite knows the reason./ It could be perhaps critical thinking causes fright./ It could be their heads aren’t screwed on just right./ But whatever the reason, their brains or their fright,/ they can’t follow policy in plain black and white.”

I’ve heard Austin is as much a freak show as any can be. I don’t know what the parents are going to do to him, but I do know what Jesus is going to do to him if he does not repent.

A travesty someone like this could be “teaching” children - and calls this filth “critical thinking” then reads a bigoted poem she wrote attacking people of faith.
In the real world when you mock your customers,

We need to end automatic public school funding. All parents get a voucher that can be used at any school.
It’s funny, liberals call themselves the moral majority and then they introduce porn to kids at school.
School vouchers. Defund public schools.
There are centuries’ worth of good and great books that students could be reading to their benefit, that no one would object to except for the degenerates who push trash that stunts intellectual and moral development.

Oh, that only happens in ‘those’ schools, you know, the ones ‘over there’, ‘across the tracks’. Why the schools that I send my children to are just ‘wonderful’, full of teachers who only want what’s best for my precious children.
Ok, that was what I tell other conservatives. But the truth is that the public schools are ‘free’ for my kids and I have higher priorities for my money, including keeping up with the Jones’, the boat, and the new F150. As far as the schools are concerned, that’s not my problem, it’s my kids’ problem. They can deal with it.
