No it’s not. God will indeed use natural catastrophes against the nations. What do you think the worldwide Flood was, a simple summer rain?

I have no doubt that God could punish the wicked, but most of the claims made about earthquakes and storms doing this in recent times seem to overlook the plainly evident fact that the wicked are not dropping in great numbers, rather it seems like a random casualty toll of people who are no more or less wicked than anyone else.

Also there is no really demonstrable upturn in the numbers of these events which have been happening for centuries or longer. Nor was there ever any real pattern of “targetting the wicked” with such events in the past. I think we are meant to accept that in the church age, God is not going to intervene until the end of the age, free will and random chance are the rules of this age, and when God does decide to punish the wicked, it will be much more obvious than these wide-ranging events that don’t seem focused on any particular type of people at all.

Beloved, do not let this one thing escape your notice: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. The Lord is not slow in keeping His promise as some understand slowness, but is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish but everyone to come to repentance. (II Peter 2:8,9)

Can you honestly say the world is getting better and better?

It has been a long time waiting - 2000 years since Christ's crucifixion - and there have been many false prophets along the way. But remember, that day is coming and very soon. Remember, it is amazing how long it seems we have to wait for the time for us to have what is to be ours, but when the time comes, God makes it happen VERY QUICKLY. He's coming soon "in the twinkling of an eye". Just be ready.

Amen! And because we know His return is imminent, we are all the more aware, awake, appealing to the lost to come to faith in Him and ever mindful that our lives are to bring Him glory and honor. What's that bumper sticker say:

So much for God not wanting you to be happy.

So much for God not liberating from sin and not making us victorious.

As in Jesus' day, so now, the Pharisees and Sadducees hate to see happiness, joy and liberation from sin. That is because they are so sad-you-see.

Well, you and/or others who haven’t yet received Jesus still have time to do so. It is the time of his great grace. Take Him.

Nobody will be laughing on the Day of His Wrath (”pissed”). Half the world will be dead before you know it. By the end of the seven years, the whole world will be dead except for a remnant of Israel hiding in the mountains.

Below is an excerpt from the “Kolbrin” an ancient manuscript written millennia’s ago which was rescued and salvaged from the Glastonbury Abby in Great Britain.

God called the darkness Night

So, God’s days begin at Light
And end at the fading of the Light (Evening)
Is when the Night begins.

Then New Light begins a New Day

There is one Sabbath that begins in the evening.
The Day of Atonement.
And that’s so Israel doesn’t eat anything that night.
Their fast has to be a full Night and Day 24 hours.
And it begins when one would traditionaly sit down and eat after a full 12 hours of work in the day.
That night of the 9th and the day of the 10th is a picture of the last day of the Messiah’s 40th day in the wilderness.
The day He begah His ministry.
After fasting, not for 1 day, but 40.

And the Day of atonement has significance at His birth too.

It’s the day He was presented in the temple.
And Anna the prophetess who was fasting night and day, was in attendance.

The inference is the Messiah was born in the summer.
And was baptized on His 30th birthday.
Same summer day.
40 days from the 10th Day of the 7th month.

The author is off by a day with regards to God’s Appointments this month.

So God says rest, they are working
God says work, they are resting

And Revelation would characterize this as evidence of Satan deceiving the whole world

And yet,people of God will believe that the fading of the Day is a new day?
