I personally would always support the TLM and its participants.
However, I would strongly suggest that the TLM community get together in study groups and help members understand the validity of the Novus Ordo and why. They also need to quit denigrating VII, Paul6th John23rd and a lot more. The TLM people could then be heard when they speak about the ABUSES committed by priests saying the Novus Ordo.
As it stands, many TLM members are dividers in the Church.
Pope Francis not prudent with his remedy, but the problem he is trying to fix exists and the TLM people can fix much of that problem.
What next, “Thou shalt not read the Bible on your own?”
“The laity shall study neither the Latin, nor the Hebrew, nor the Greek.”
“The writings of the early Fathers are reserved to the priests, and then only with approval of the Archbishop.”
How long will the faithful stand this?
It’s back to Puritans v Separatists; can it be Purified again from within, or it is degenerating to the point where all who would be saved must come out from among them and be Separate?
I’m not one to go a-shouting, and arm-waving about things Catholic v. Protestant, but — sakes — did the faithful feel this way under the corruption of the RC hierarchy that Luther protested?
Seems like a monumental mess.
Pray for a revival; from the VERY TOP DOWN.
“Moreover, Pope Francis has declared his intent to conduct that most difficult of martial undertakings, an aggressive war of annihilation. As Martin van Creveld points out, such a war, by leaving the enemy only two outcomes: victory or extinction, dramatically solidifies the enemy’s will to resist regardless of what his previous political or military weakness may have been. In this respect, TC is the “Operation Barbarossa” of the Church.”
Wow, that Chessman quote is absolutely on the money, in my opinion. Bergoglio has indeed initiated a war of annihilation, and van Creveld is absolutely right about the sort of response such a war provokes.
A priest in Costa Rica had the book thrown at him by his bishop for daring to celebrate the Novus Ordo Mass in Latin. (I have actually attended a Novus Ordo Mass in Latin, many years ago.)
“The walls of hell are lined with the skulls of Bishops just like this one.
The Mass is a holy gift from the Holy Spirit.
What the Holy Spirit has made holy, no man has the authority to call unworthy.
