The Catholic Archbishop of San Francisco said on Thursday that he is “grieved” by “disrespectful responses” to Pope Francis’ restrictions on the Traditional Latin Mass.
In an Aug. 5 statement, Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone underlined that the pope introduced the new measures in the motu proprio Traditionis custodes out of a concern for unity.
“Since Pope Francis issued Traditionis custodes, I have been grieved by certain disrespectful responses; some have even included slanderous attacks on the Pontiff,” the archbishop said.
“I support Pope Francis, and his concern that those who are drawn to more traditional forms of Catholic worship also affirm the validity of the Novus Ordo form of the Mass and, indeed, of the Second Vatican Council itself.”
“As the visible head of the Church, the Pope has a global vision of Church life and can perceive things that we cannot from our more local perspective.”
Traditionis custodes, which entered into force on July 16, the day it was released, underlined that it is a bishop’s “exclusive competence” to authorize Traditional Latin Masses in his diocese.

The Pope is, sadly, a soft-hearted and weak-minded man. Cordileone can make excuses for the Pope’s jello mind, but he can’t sell something that doesn’t exist. I don’t think St. Peter approves of what the current Pope is peddling.

I wonder how many people, especially Catholics, are aware that Catholic Charities is doing everything it possible can to assist and encourage the invasion of America across our southern border.

Once you realize Bergoglio isn’t Pope, heck, not even Catholic and pretending he is, manners become irrelevant.
Hold on. Cordileone is backing the regular TLMs in his archdiocese and has expanded tradition slightly by adding the once-a-month cathedral TLM. There is a bit of Roman-style gamesmanship happening here. Cordileone issues a statement of how supportive he is of Bergoglio and how “grieved” he is about the criticism of Bergolio... all while decidedly NOT cooperating with Bergoglio’s TLM crackdown. Clever.
Cordileone, and even moreso Paproki, are bordering on almost defiance toward the pope, while still respecting the pope and obeying the pope. Their recent moves have been brilliant, faithful, and pro-TLM.

I listen to Bishop Dolan’s sermons with a Catholic friend of mine. You’d think he was a FReeper hearing him talk about all the stuff going on around Covid!
I know and I wonder how many of the kids they are taking are ending up in human trafficking. They are just dropping the kids anywhere and with anyone.

Protesters Question Archbishop’s Loyalty To US
Protest LA Archbishop Jose Gomez Residence
Dozens of protesters have shown up at Archbishop of Los Angelus Jose Gomez residence. Many carrying American flags and bearing signs questioning Gomez’s loyalty to the US not Mexico along with many signs demanding equal rights for American citizens in Mexico.
The protest was apparently triggered by the clerics decision to push forward with his predecessors decision the disgraced Cardinal Mahoney by offering amnesty thus citizenship to Mexicans who crossed the border illegally. While thousands of Americans in Mexico suffer under 2nd class citizenship unable to own property and suffer indignitys let alone participate in Mexican elections while living there in Mexico.
A spokeswoman for the group, *Harriet Hildegarden insisted her group consists of Catholics loyal to the church. “We will be protesting at other locations where prominent clergy of the church have sided with the Obama regime”. “Hildy” claims the church is supporting the democrat party which denied God at their convention and declared what she claims is war on the Catholics but would collude with it on “social engineering” issues including “amnesty” . When asked if she may be denied communion for her activities her reply was “Well it’s been known that when that happens quicker when clerics get personally attacked than when some politician challenges the church on the grounds of faith and morals” * Fictional name used not intended to reflect on any so named person living or deceased posted in my website
