You don’t have to know the entire modern history of the traditional Latin Mass to understand what’s behind Pope Francis’s recent apostolic letter, Traditionis custodes, claiming the ancient rite threatens the unity of the Catholic Church and imposing strict new limits on its use.
All you must do to understand what’s happening now is attend a Latin Mass. There, you will see full church pews teeming with young families and couples, mewling infants and unruly toddlers, single twenty-somethings and teens. The air will be full of incense and, in some parishes, the haunting beauty of Gregorian chant.
Most of the women and girls will be in veils, most parishioners will be following along with a 1962 Roman missal and responding to the priest in Latin, kneeling or genuflecting as required. You will see, in short, a religious ritual that looks odd and shockingly out of place in modern society.
You will also see, unmistakably, the future of the Catholic Church.
How can that be? After all, only a small number of Catholics, perhaps only about 150,000 in the United States, regularly attend a Latin (Tridentine) Mass. Fewer than 700 Catholic parishes in the U.S., out of more than 17,000, even offer Latin Mass. If the Latin Mass is the future of the Catholic Church, it portends a church much diminished in size and prestige.

The only thing that threatens the unity of the Catholic Church is the Anti-pope Marxist, who sits on the Chair of St. Peter,
and who introduces a pagan idol into the church for veneration.
It is he who destroys the unity and the spirituality of the Church in order to make it seem more relevant and temporal .
From my days in South America I will never understand the hatred the Catholic hierarchy, especially the Jesuits, had and has for Fathet Lefebvre and the Tridentine Mass. Why? They who attend are members of the Catholic family. They are neither heretics or heresiarchs. The hatred is baffling.
The Latin mass is indeed full of young people, and many young men in particular. The lm is healing and transformative. Order a missal off Amazon or eBay and follow along. You will pay greater attention, and learn the rich symbolism in the mass that always flows from scripture. There’s quite a bit on utube to help you learn it. A good reverent novus ordo mass is wonderful too (because it’s the mass!) but there is something astoundingly beautiful about the LM.
Article says a bunch of things, most we already know, but does not explain just how the TLM will be the future.
Why do democrats hate republicans? They have totally different philosophies and goals. The Jesuits, etc, are threatened by the traditionalists.

It’s not baffling if you understand that Bergoglio and the other false shepherds hate the Catholic Church and are trying to destroy it.

The Latin Mass (LM) is the personification of listening and speaking in a foreign tongue that is not common, or in daily usage,
and so it requires you to listen, not just hear the words, you have to be extra-attentive.
The Latin Mass speaks to us softly, as does Gregorian chant, and reminds us of the Church's development, sacrifice, martyrs, and heritage, and connects us to it.
It connects us to God in a still,.. small, ..voice.

Novus Ordo parishes are dying. I attended two parochial schools as a kid, and they're both closed now due to declining enrollments and the migration of many Catholics out of the area where I grew up.

TLM is the past,present and future of the Catholic Church. Watch the Church grow rapidly in numbers when TLM is instituted.
The Latin Mass is the highest form of worship there is and was given to us by Christ Himself. The Wokers can never change it to a Presbyterian mass.
The key is that it’s tradition, not the language of latin. That’s why people call it the TLM, not LM.
