VATICAN CITY (ChurchMilitant.com) - Rome is rejecting the use of "reparative" or "conversion" therapies by Catholic groups to heal homosexuals of same-sex attraction, a Spanish Catholic weekly is reporting.
But homosexuals who have benefited from therapy are urging Pope Francis to meet with those who have found healing from unwanted same-sex attraction.
The Vatican's Congregation for the Clergy (CC) instructed the Spanish Episcopal Conference (CEE) in June to disavow the Granada-based Truth and Freedom (Verdad y Libertad) apostolate for its practice of reparative therapy, Vida Nueva reported last Thursday.
The bishops are asked "not to support, participate [in] or recommend treatments" implemented by Truth and Freedom or other Catholic groups offering healing to homosexuals because "the methodology and the objectives followed are wrong."
"We also invite those who consider themselves damaged to file a civil complaint, since, from the canonical point of view, we cannot intervene in what they do," the instruction urges.
Vida Nueva did not provide the primary document issued by CC to the CEE, even though it extensively reported on and commented on the Vatican's condemnation of reparative therapies.

The Satanic creatures of the APA and other vile leftist organizations do NOT allow nor support the fact that homosexual behavior is dangerous and destructive on multiple levels.
1.). It alienates the individual from healthy behaviors and instead pushes them toward unhealthy behaviors. This continued push causes the person to be more susceptible to harmful (and often fatal) sexually transmitted diseases over normal people.
2.). It makes the person more susceptible to violent behavior, as homosexuals are much more likely to conduct acts of violence against others over normal people.
3.). Homosexual behavior is often connected to other mental and spiritual disorders involving alcohol, drugs, criminal conduct, and suicidal behavior. There is a distinct connection between homosexual behavior and these subsequent acts against oneself, society, and Almighty God.
All efforts must be made to turn these people away from this extremely destructive path, yet we now see Rome decidedly remove options available to save these folks.
The Vatican is on an express elevator to Hell, and this latest decision from them (against Almighty God’s Divine Plan for Salvation) is proof of this.
