Not really. Ramadan is when the Muslims fast all day and get really temperamental. Eid al Fitr is the last day of Ramadan and then they all party - unless they got themselves all martyred during the cranky part.

We Christians aren't involved in their practices.

They party and pig out every night. What kind of fast is that? Hell...We call it a work day....and skipping lunch.

It seems to be really drastic. No food or drink from sunrise to sunset.
Then eating the whole night.
Whole month.
I summer, in hot areas of Arabia and Africa, no water the whole day seems deadly to me.
Ramadan has been blamed for the backward economies of Muslim countries as it practically takes a month out of the year of economic activity. Very little gets done during Ramadan.
Nowadays, a lot of moderate Muslims do break it quite regularly, but rather secretly, as they may be trashed by the zealots.
