In case you’re wondering how some religions are coping with the outbreak of COVID-19, just look to the Jehovah’s Witnesses to see how absurd reactions can get.
In a recent video featuring Governing Body member Stephen Lett, he absolutely delights in the disease because he sees it as a signal that Armageddon is imminent.
So the events unfolding around us are making clear, [more] than ever, that we’re living in the final part of the Last Days. Undoubtedly, the final part of the final part of the Last Days, shortly before the last day of the Last Days.
Clarify for me? Bwahahaha such arrogant pride from a culotist seventh day adventist. In the carnal mind state you cannot discern things of the spirit for you are carnally minded. No sale, cultist. You have learned exactly ZERO from the Bible lessons of LOT.
Every descendant of Adam has a body a soul/behavior mechanism of mind will and emotion, and a spirit. The spirit of the born again cannot sin. So long as you remain in your fleshly body, your behavior mechanism can and does sin. GOD has Promised that the old man, the body and behavior mechanism trained in sin will be disacrded and HE will put your sinless spirit in a new body and soul which aref it for living in eternity IN HIS PRESENCE. ... IF you go into His Presence, do not try to tout your works to keep the law; if you do that you will be judged by the law which you have not kept 100%. So if YOU do not have His seed aniding in your spirit, you are none of His.
Phil, The Word of God says that!
The questions are:
1. If a person is Bjorn again, are they incapable of sinning in your opinion?
Or
2. When they sin it is their body which does it, not the person himself (mhgs position)
Or
3. When they sin it is their soul which does it, not the person himself (mets position)
So which is it?
You are a carnal minded follower of false teachers, and are not a follower of Christ.
You said “The spirit of the born again cannot sin “
So that would mean, according to your logic
1. Ravi was not born again
Or
2. Ravis, ahem, activities, weren’t sins in mhgintn eyes
And the same for you
And why do you misstate someone's clear wording so you can keep attacking your own false representation?
See post #11, this very thread which you posted!
1Jn 3:9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. ποιέω
Nope...You don't win the cupie doll...
ποιέω
poieō
poy-eh'-o
Apparently a prolonged form of an obsolete primary; to make or do (in a very wide application, more or less direct): - abide, + agree, appoint, X avenge, + band together, be, bear, + bewray, bring (forth), cast out, cause, commit, + content, continue, deal, + without any delay, (would) do (-ing), execute, exercise, fulfil, gain, give, have, hold, X journeying, keep, + lay wait, + lighten the ship, make, X mean, + none of these things move me, observe, ordain, perform, provide, + have purged, purpose, put, + raising up, X secure, shew, X shoot out, spend, take, tarry, + transgress the law, work, yield. Compare G4238.
Amen! Couldn’t agree more.
‘Cause the man from Mars stopped eatin’ cars and eatin’ bars
And now he only eats guitars, get up
Perhaps they don’t understand because it hasn’t happened to them yet. They are striving to be counted worthy, to earn or merit God’s salvation. They really haven’t a clue about what GRACE truly is.
Me too!
Not really obsessed with Ravi Z — for the record, I don’t consider the accusations (note: “accusations”) against him to be something to excoriate him — they aren’t proven and until they are, I would disregard them - as I said.
What IS interesting is the question Phil posed to you - with the hypothetical question
If person X is born again and sins - do you, MHG, say that that person has sinned or do you, MHG, say that it wasn’t the spirit of the person who sinned but their body or their soul. So person X is innocent in your opinion because it was just X’s body that sinned.
You clearly don't understand this born from above thing,
John 3:5 Jesus answered, “Amen, amen, I say to you, no one can enter the kingdom of God without being born of water and Spirit.
Titus 3:5 not because of any righteous deeds we had done
but because of his mercy,
he saved us through the bath of rebirth
and renewal by the holy Spirit,
Rom. 6:3–4 3 Or are you unaware that we who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? 4 We were indeed buried with him through baptism into death, so that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might live in newness of life.
Acts 2:38 38 Peter [said] to them, “Repent and be baptized,[a] every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the holy Spirit.
you don't seem to have any idea about Christianity -- as you reject the Trinity that Catholics, Orthodox, Copts, Assyrians, Lutherans, Baptists, Evangelicals etc. all believe in
You said I don't believe in the Catholic trinity.
What's so difficult for you to understand what boatbums, MHG, etc. all believe in?
Iskuhl: Sure there is
In Jesus Christ there is no Jew and no Greek - there is no separate Jewish church and gentile Church.
Iskuhl: Sure there is

It may be that MHG and met have slipped up in language, which is understandable.
But if someone says “it wasn’t me who did it, it was my body/soul who did it” - that’s passing the buck.
We sin and we get forgiven.
Well, Iscool does follow his beliefs in that respect.
Christianity is a religion about Jesus the Christ.
The Biblical books date from before and after the core of our religion - Jesus Christ - with the last book (the gospel of John) written 50 years after the Christ died
That's why it is called Christianity and not Biblianity.
The Biblical canon of 73 books is God-inspired scripture that councils decreed were so. Far more than that is the faith handed down to us by Christ through His Apostles - as Paul wrote 2 Thess 2:15 Therefore, brothers, stand firm and hold fast to the traditions that you were taught, either by an oral statement or by a letter of ours
And 2 tim 3 14 But you, remain faithful to what you have learned and believed, because you know from whom you learned it,15 and that from infancy you have known [the] sacred scriptures, which are capable of giving you wisdom for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. 16 [c]All scripture is inspired by God and is useful for teaching, for refutation, for correction, and for training in righteousness,[d] 17 so that one who belongs to God may be competent, equipped for every good work.
note because you know from whom you learned it and so that one who belongs to God may be competent, equipped for every good work
1 John 3:9
You had better look at other versions. You are wrong. The Cupie doll is mine.
English Standard Version
No one born of God makes a practice of sinning, for God’s seed abides in him; and he cannot keep on sinning, because he has been born of God.
New American Standard Bible
No one who has been born of God practices sin, because His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin continually, because he has been born of God.
Amplified Bible
No one who is born of God [deliberately, knowingly, and habitually] practices sin, because God’s seed [His principle of life, the essence of His righteous character] remains [permanently] in him [who is born again—who is reborn from above—spiritually transformed, renewed, and set apart for His purpose]; and he [who is born again] cannot habitually [live a life characterized by] sin, because he is born of God and longs to please Him.
Contemporary English Version
God’s children cannot keep on being sinful. His life-giving power lives in them and makes them his children, so they cannot keep on sinning.
Clarke’s commentary:
1 John 3:9
Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
Whosoever is born of God - Γεγεννημενος, Begotten of God, doth not commit sin: “that is,” say some, “as he used to do, he does not sin habitually as he formerly did.”
