Isn’t verbal diarrhoea part of the Seventh day Adventist cult teachings as in Ellen g white writings?

After all you just admitted that

1. Adventist dogma is that some races are descended from sexual union of humans and animals

2. Adventist belief is that Jesus is not God.

3. Adventist belief is that Satan took on the sins of the world.

Ah your favourite Adventist site aloha.net

The same one where you buy your tin foil Adventist hats from?

Is it made by the half human half animal races that you Adventists say are there?

And 68 AD seemed like the end of the civilized world.

Nero was overthrown and the Julio claudian dynasty ended, there were 4 emperors in one year.

It was the period of the end of the 2nd temple Jewish world and nearly the end of the beast from the sea, the Roman empire. The whore, ie the Sanhedrin in Jerusalem, rode the beast but was then burnt and destroyed by this gentile (from the sea) beast when Jerusalem was destroyed in 69 to 70 AD.

So you, Phil, prince of insufficient light, think that the second coming occurred in 1844. Was Ellen g white dancing the cancan then?

I’m not a buyer.

Preterism is interesting, and the historical elements drawn out invite people into worthwhile study of figures like Josephus. On the whole, though, it’s not as convincing as 19th Century Darbyism, which you likely note I reject.

I’ve years ago written my objections at some length in these forums; perhaps to you, even. It’s been a decade, at least, perhaps around 2006 when Alamo Girl conducted her surveys of eschatological leanings. Funny. I was a pre-tribber back then, but not taking it too seriously; I had my mind considering other angles already.

I really don't understand what you mean by "preterist"

As I pointed out - the Jews of that time saw the events of the first century as the end of the world - as predicted in Daniel.

I didn't actually note what you hold to, I'm sorry, but if you reject Darbyism then that's a good basis. A lot of the other positions are fine, but with Darbyism and pre-tribulation rapture -- it ruins Christian life as we see in Harold Camping's wake.

It also leads to smugness - ignoring the plight of Christians suffering horrific tribulations in the world RIGHT NOW.

Deu 5:15 And remember that thou wast a servant in the land of Egypt, and that the Lord thy God brought thee out thence through a mighty hand and by a stretched out arm: therefore the Lord thy God commanded thee to keep the sabbath day.

God entrusted the sabbath to Israel to keep as a sign of the irrevocable covenant.

The Gospel reports many incidents when Jesus was accused of violating the sabbath law. But Jesus never fails to respect the holiness of this day. e gives this law its authentic and authoritative interpretation: "The sabbath was made for man, not man for the sabbath."

Jesus rose from the dead "on the first day of the week." Because it is the "first day," the day of Christ's Resurrection recalls the first creation. Because it is the "eighth day" following the sabbath, it symbolizes the new creation ushered in by Christ's Resurrection. For Christians it has become the first of all days, the first of all feasts, the Lord's Day (he kuriake hemera, dies dominica) Sunday

Sunday is expressly distinguished from the sabbath which it follows chronologically every week

Furthermore, Phill of insufficient light -- Strictly speaking, the sabbath is the day it always was--Saturday--though it should be noted that traditionally Jewish people have celebrated the sabbath from sundown on Friday to sundown on Saturday. Do you Adventists celebrate Sabbath from sundown on Friday to Sunday on Saturday?

Properly speaking, we're not celebrating the sabbath on Sunday. We're celebrating something else, but it's something that the sabbath points toward. the Jewish sabbath announces man's eternal rest in God and prefigures some aspects of Christ. Sunday thus fulfills what the sabbath pointed toward.

What we are celebrating instead of the sabbath is "the Lord's day." That's something Christians have celebrated since the first century. In fact, in the very first chapter of Revelation, we read that John experienced the inaugural vision of the book on "the Lord's day." He writes:

I John, your brother, who share with you in Jesus the tribulation and the kingdom and the patient endurance, was on the island called Patmos on account of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus.

I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and I heard behind me a loud voice like a trumpet [Revelation 1:9-10].
And he goes on to describe the vision of Jesus Christ he received. For our purposes, the important thing to note is that he speaks of the Lord's day as an already-established thing. He expects his readers to know what it is. So, when is it?

It's Domenica i.e. Sunday - a day separate from Sabbath.

To be succinct - the Good news is to be preached to all the civilized Roman World - and that already happened by 54 AD as Paul wrote in Rom 1:8 First, I give thanks[f] to my God through Jesus Christ for all of you, because your faith is heralded throughout the world and in Col 1:5-6 First, I give thanks[f] to my God through Jesus Christ for all of you, because your faith is heralded throughout the world in Paul's mind there was no doubt that the gospel had gone out into the whole world Clement wrote in 73 AD that Peter and Paul had been martyred, but not before they "taught righteousness to the whole world, and they came to the extreme limit of the west"

The description of Mark 13 is standard apocalyptic language - read about the stars falling from the sky in Isaiah.

In the midst of Tribulation there is a revival among the Jews out of which 144,000 greatly anointed Messianic evangelists emerge to minister to the Jews.

The problem is that you guys forget that

  1. Christianity IS a sect of Judaism -

  2. What we call "Jews" today is the continuation of the Pharisee sect that was created in 70 AD by Rabbi yohannan ben Zakkai.

  3. "Jews" of today - more specifically "Rabbinical Judaism" or "pharisee-Judaism" is a SISTER religion to "Jesus-movement Judaism" i.e. Christianity

  4. A large number of Jews DID become followers of "the way" - why did Paul, John etc. write about the followers of the way being beaten in synagogues

A huge ton of 2nd temple Jews lost their world when the temple was destroyed. A large chunk became followers of "the way" i.e. Christians - they didn't change from being "Jews" but became members of a sect of Judaism

others followed Rabbi Ben ZAkkai -- and NOTE that the Pharisees in the council of jamnia REJECTED much of the texts in the Old Testament that supported their rival sect, the Jesus-movement Jews.

=================

Don't just believe what I wrote - go and read for yourself

1. The Talmud - this is the Oral Torah that the Pharisees followed and that was written down in the 6th to 8th century

2. The life of Rabbi Ben Zakkai

3. The council of Jamnia

Enoch was taken to God before the flood came.

God taking Enoch had nothing to do with the flood.

Congratulations, do you go about telling people of different races that the seventh day Adventist cult believes they are untermenschen?

Or did your dear leader Ellen tell you to keep it a secret until they get indoctrinated into your cult?

Already CLEARLY answered and REFUTED, in the link.

Ellen g white wrote

“The man Christ Jesus was not the Lord God Almighty.” (Letter 32, 1999, quoted in the Seventh-day Adventist Bible Commentary, Vol. 5, p.1129).

She’s your proohetess and founder and you Adventists consider her teaching as scripture. So you believe that?

Again, CLEARLY answered and REFUTED in the link provided. Why don’t you try reading it?

leaders of Judaism rejected their Messiah (Daniel revealed it would happen

Daniel says nothing of this sort. The only time the word Messiah is used in Daniel is

25 Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.

26 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.
Where do you read "the leaders of Judaism rejected their Messiah as written by Daniel"???

MHGinTN God, removes The Church (the Body of Christ made up of all Believers since Peter preached on the Day of Pentecost), BEFORE He begins to pour out His wrath on the unbelievers -- he does nothing of that sort.
