I believe we (Americans) are living in the equivalent of the times of ancient Judah when Manasseh came into power. Judah had previously enjoyed prosperity and relative peace during the righteous reign of their former king, Hezekiah. Now, I am not comparing Donald Trump to Hezekiah, as I do not consider Trump to be a particularly righteous person. However, he did what was right in regards to the betterment of his own people (Make America Great Again), as did King Hezekiah.
On the other hand, Manasseh did what was right in his own eyes and did not care how it affected the people in a harmful way. “Manasseh did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord, after the abominations of the heathen, whom the Lord cast out before the children of Israel” (2 Kings 21:1).
Manasseh worshipped idols and the false god Baal instead of the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. He believed in human (children) sacrifice, as did the heathens in the land of Canaan, for he murdered his own son by making him pass through the fire. Manasseh was an occultist, as he dealt with spirits and wizards. “He wrought much wickedness in the sight of the Lord, to provoke him to anger” (2 Kings 21:6).
King Manasseh also shed very much innocent blood, as he killed and persecuted anybody who opposed him, be it prophets, priests, or princes. The Bible says he filled Jerusalem from one end to another with this blood. Likewise, I am not comparing the evilness of Manasseh to Joe Biden, as Biden is a mere pawn under the control of evil men, powers, and principalities. However, Biden and his administration (as well as the media, big tech., academia, and billionaire progressive elites) are doing what is right in their own eyes with no regard for the American people and our way of life. They are only interested in their goal of accomplishing a one-world government, currency, and religion. These progressive/socialist Democrats copy Manasseh’s evil policy of child sacrifice by passing laws such as Roe vs. Wade, making it legal to abort (murder) unborn babies (up to the time of birth).
Yes, America has shed much innocent blood since 1973, from one end of America to the other.
As I wrote about in “The Fullness of Sins – Part VI,” if you average the three kingdoms of Israel’s (12 united tribes of Israel, 10 tribes of Israel, and the kingdom of Judah) existence, you get 225 years. They had a total of 44 monarchs (43 kings and 1 queen) including Saul, David, and Solomon. In comparison, America has been a nation for 245 years and has had 45 different presidents (Grover Cleveland was elected to two non-consecutive terms).
Manasseh worshipped idols instead of the living God as the New World Order elitists worship the false idols of power, money, sex, and control of the masses. Most of them are either atheists or occultists who worship the false god, Lucifer. Manasseh provoked the Lord to anger by not obeying God’s statutes and commandments, just as the current president of the U.S. and his administration are doing. For Manasseh’s and Judah’s evil actions, God declared, through his prophets, that He would destroy the kingdom of Judah. Will God judge America in a similar manner for our fullness of sins?
“The office of prophet was instituted during the days of Samuel, the last of the judges. Prophets stood with the priests as God’s special representatives. The prophet’s role was to speak for God, confronting the people and their leaders with God’s commands and promises. Because of this confrontational stance and the continuing tendency of people to disobey God, true prophets usually were not very popular. But though their message often went unheeded, they faithfully and forcefully proclaimed the truth.
The book of Isaiah is the first of the writings of the Prophets in the Bible; and Isaiah, the author, is generally considered to be the greatest prophet. He was probably reared in an aristocratic home and was married to a prophetess. In the beginning of his ministry, he was well liked. But, like most prophets, he soon became unpopular because his messages were so difficult to hear. He called the Jewish people to turn from their lives of sin and warned them of God’s judgment and punishment. Isaiah had an active ministry for 60 years (740 BC – 680 BC) before he was executed during Manasseh’s reign (according to tradition). As God’s special messenger to Judah, Isaiah prophesied during the reigns of several of its rulers, including Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, Hezekiah, and Manasseh.” {1}
Although Isaiah chapter 59 was written for the kingdom of Judah in regard to their rulers’ (kings, princes, priests, administrative assistants/elders, judges) great sins against their own citizens, Isaiah’s words are just as relevant to our present time here in America and the rest of the world. We are now facing the same tyranny, persecutions, restrictions, censorship, lawlessness, corruption, and evil (against God and humanity) as the ancient Israelites did under their governmental system.
If you feel as I do, that there is no true justice administered these days (or it is prejudiced in favor of one side) for those who are guilty of crimes, falsehoods, slanders, and fake news, then read and meditate on Isaiah 59. God is not mocked. He will repay in His own time, for He is the ultimate judge and jury.
Isaiah 59
Behold, the Lord’s hand is not shortened, That it cannot save; Nor His ear heavy, That it cannot hear. But your iniquities have separated you from your God; And your sins have hidden His face from you, So that He will not hear.
For your hands are defiled with blood, And your fingers with iniquity; Your lips have spoken lies, Your tongue has muttered perversity.
No one calls for justice, Nor does any plead for truth. They trust in empty words and speak lies; They conceive evil and bring forth iniquity. They hatch vipers’ eggs and weave the spider’s web; He who eats of their eggs dies, And from that which is crushed a viper breaks out.
Their webs will not become garments, Nor will they cover themselves with their works; Their works are works of iniquity, And the act of violence is in their hands. Their feet run to evil, And they make haste to shed innocent blood; Their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity; Wasting and destruction are in their paths. The way of peace they have not known, And there is no justice in their ways; They have made themselves crooked paths; Whoever takes that way shall not know peace.
Sin Confessed
Therefore justice is far from us, Nor does righteousness overtake us; We look for light, but there is darkness! For brightness, but we walk in blackness! We grope for the wall like the blind, And we grope as if we had no eyes; We stumble at noonday as at twilight; We are as dead men in desolate places. We all growl like bears, And moan sadly like doves; We look for justice, but there is none; For salvation, but it is far from us.
For our transgressions are multiplied before You, And our sins testify against us; For our transgressions are with us, And as for our iniquities, we know them: In transgressing and lying against the Lord, And departing from our God, Speaking oppression and revolt, Conceiving and uttering from the heart words of falsehood.
Justice is turned back, And righteousness stands afar off; For truth is fallen in the street, And equity cannot enter. So truth fails, And he who departs from evil makes himself a prey.
The Redeemer of Zion
Then the Lord saw it, and it displeased Him That there was no justice. He saw that there was no man, And wondered that there was no intercessor; Therefore His own arm brought salvation for Him; And His own righteousness, it sustained Him. For He put on righteousness as a breastplate, And a helmet of salvation on His head; He put on the garments of vengeance for clothing, And was clad with zeal as a cloak.
According to their deeds, accordingly He will repay, Fury to His adversaries, Recompense to His enemies; The coastlands He will fully repay. So shall they fear The name of the Lord from the west, And His glory from the rising of the sun; When the enemy comes in like a flood, The Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him.
The Redeemer will come to Zion, And to those who turn from transgression in Jacob, Says the Lord.”
Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.
End Times Ping
PM me if you wish to be added to or removed from the End Times Ping List.
Judgement is coming and has arrived. No telling how long it will take to carry through however. We who are called by His Name are still here however. We must be salt and light while we can!
Maranatha!
I agree with the bulk of the article. Jonathan Cahn states much in Biblical history to support the claim. What bothers me is the amount of Christians that have attended Jericho Marches, prayed endlessly, continue to Trust in our Lord, ....it appears, for now, we appear to be on the path of Biblical destruction. Brought to our knees as a nation? Revival coming? The only thing I do know, we have entered the time where “ even the righteous suffered”.
Can’t watch, or listen, to ANY “ news “ program anymore.
Only Almighty God can save the Republic now.
“amount of Christians that have attended Jericho Marches”
Never even heard of those marches. What are they?
I wouldn’t hold my breath for any revival, that’s just MHO though and YMMV.
I wish people would not dis President Trump as they do.
Too much focus on his moral character, and yet he is not any worse than King David, who committed adultery with one of his most trusted men’s wife, and then went and murdered the man to cover up his crime.
Nobody never made such an issue about democrats moral failings and felt they had to qualify everything they say about them like they do with Trump.
Nobody was ever pretending that President Trump was perfect, and nobody expected him to be. Matter of fact, compared to the democrats, he’s as pure as the new driven snow.
Proof of that is in the inability to find anything with which to take him down with.
And even if he was perfect, so what? That still would not be good enough to prevent a sham trial and execution.
That said, I cannot disagree with the premise of the article.
We are a nation which once honored God and we have turned from Him and brought and are bringing, His judgment down on us through our political leaders. And a bunch of people who never participated in it are going to get caught in the fallout.
I totally agree and I have no idea why they do it.
Trump was the best President of my entire life.
If we knew what kind of sordid & odious behavior Obama did behind closed doors, I bet half the African American population would condemn him.
Matthew 24: 9 “Then you will be arrested, persecuted, and killed. You will be hated all over the world because you are my followers.[ag] 10 And many will turn away from me and betray and hate each other. 11 And many false prophets will appear and will deceive many people. 12 Sin will be rampant everywhere, and the love of many will grow cold. 13 But the one who endures to the end will be saved. 14 And the Good News about the Kingdom will be preached throughout the whole world, so that all nations[ah] will hear it; and then the end will come.
I’ll just say Dittos metmom, because you beat me to the punch.
I was ready to write a similar response.
Thanks for saving me the time.
Luke 21:12-19 New American Standard Bible (NASB)
12 “But before all these things, they will lay their hands on you and persecute you, turning you over to the synagogues and prisons, [a]bringing you before kings and governors on account of My name.
13 It will lead to [b]an opportunity for your testimony.
14 So [c]make up your minds not to prepare beforehand to defend yourselves;
15 for I will provide you [d]eloquence and wisdom which none of your adversaries will be able to oppose or refute.
16 But you will be betrayed even by parents, brothers and sisters, other relatives, and friends, and they will put some of you to death,
17 and you will be hated by all people because of My name.
18 And yet not a hair of your head will perish.
19 By your endurance you will gain your [e]lives.
Having told them what the rest of their lives would be like, and that their eternal destiny with Him was assured, the Lord finally answered their question about the Temple destruction.
Luke 21:20-24 New American Standard Bible (NASB) 20 “But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then [a]recognize that her desolation is near.
21 Then those who are in Judea must flee to the mountains, and those who are inside [b]the city must leave, and those who are in the country must not enter [c]the city;
22 because these are days of punishment, so that all things which have been written will be fulfilled.
23 Woe to those women who are pregnant, and to those who are nursing babies in those days; for there will be great distress upon the [d]land, and wrath to this people;
24 and they will fall by the edge of the sword, and will be led captive into all the nations; and Jerusalem will be trampled underfoot by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.
Thanks for the post, love the new tag line.
Interesting article, although I am not as of yet convinced we are where so many think we are. I need to see what transpires in the next few years. I remember how we were all sure we were toast in 2009 after Obama was sworn in. He had a lot more Democrats to help him.
We do have Rinos, but as we now know they were pretty bad back then with Speaker John Boehner and company. Not to mention all those Rinos who retired after Trump won just to back stab him. Plus we need to watch the Supreme Court. If they abdicate, then I will be more inclined to start wondering.
If the last few years taught us anything, they taught us who the enemy truly is. After the election was stolen, we learned we have a lot more Republicans on the wrong side than we ever realized. Add to it the knowledge we now have about how bad the Republicans were when Obama was President, because look how many of them never were on board with Trump and his fixing America. This is knowledge we never had when we elected Trump in 2016. ( neither did Trump)
All that being said, this commentary uses Manasseh as an example of a bad guy following a good guy, King Ezekia.
Well, he was real bad for quite some time, but so many forget how he finished. Manasseh finished good. Kind of reminds me of how Nebuchadnezzar finished. He too finished well, even though he was a very bad cruel evil man for a long time.
Now I’m not suggesting Biden will finish well, but as bad as Obama was, and he was bad, most of what he did was reversible, due to his lack of using executive orders. Something Biden is doing. Even though he is starting early, executive orders are easier to stop from doing too much damage via the courts.
Remember, Trump added a LOT of judges in the last four years. As I said, what the SC does will weigh heavy upon my mindset of our ultimate end times scenarios. So before I start jumping ship, I will hold my life preserver close, but wait to see what happened to this old boat we call America.
Plus, American’s need to stop thinking that God only cares about what happens in the good ole US of A. I will not be shocked if we end up having an Indian summer of sorts before we head into the cold dark Winter many of us feel coming ahead.
Here is a reminder of Manasseh from 2 Chronicles 33:11-18
Wherefore the LORD brought upon them the captains of the host of the king of Assyria, which took Manasseh among the thorns, and bound him with fetters, and carried him to Babylon.
And when he was in affliction, he besought the LORD his God, and humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers,
And prayed unto him: and he was intreated of him, and heard his supplication, and brought him again to Jerusalem into his kingdom. Then Manasseh knew that the LORD he was God.
Now after this he built a wall without the city of David, on the west side of Gihon, in the valley, even to the entering in at the fish gate, and compassed about Ophel, and raised it up a very great height, and put captains of war in all the fenced cities of Judah.
And he took away the strange gods, and the idol out of the house of the LORD, and all the altars that he had built in the mount of the house of the LORD, and in Jerusalem, and cast them out of the city.
And he repaired the altar of the LORD, and sacrificed thereon peace offerings and thank offerings, and commanded Judah to serve the LORD God of Israel.
Nevertheless the people did sacrifice still in the high places, yet unto the LORD their God only.
Now the rest of the acts of Manasseh, and his prayer unto his God, and the words of the seers that spake to him in the name of the LORD God of Israel, behold, they are written in the book of the kings of Israel.
I meant Hezekiah
Knack of using executive orders,
not
lack of using executive orders. I really need a proof reader when I post things.
I get too jumpy in wanting to get my comment sent off.
Manasseh changed so much that it must have effected his son.
Because his son, King Josiah was a better man than even king David was.
So, just to say Manasseh changed, and that change effected a lot. However, the sickness for the Southern kingdom of Judah became terminal long before Manasseh was even born.
Good post. Two passages stand out to me:
(1) 2 Thess. 2:3, which says apostasy, which the KJV translates as the “falling away,” WILL happen which will usher in the man of sin, the antichrist. As Justin Martyr put it, the apostasy will happen first, before “the man of apostasy” can be revealed, the antichrist, the man of sin.
(2) and Psalm 9:17, “The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all nations that forget God.”
When nations, any nation, forgets God, it descends into apostasy, moral depravity, unbelief, and ultimately slavery. As we see before our eyes, socialist-communist slavery.
Why, then, are so many so surprised at what has happened to our country? The precursory falling away that will usher in the antichrist is here, whether we like it, believe, or admit it, or not.
I guess what surprises me isn’t what’s happening but the speed at which it’s happened.
We held the marches 6 weekends ending before Jan 6th. We marched around the decaying Georgia Capitol seven times. A few Ga Senators ( state) participated, I talked to one, he said they had the proof of Fulton county corruption,so much, it would take weeks to document. The Senate sub committee hearings showed it, but it was buried...as for Revival, Biblical history shows a nation must be brought to its knees before it can occur. ( America experienced one in the 1930,s- and responded- Billy Graham lead it).Senile Joe and Godless friends WILL bring America to its knees, but will the people return to God? We shall see....
I agree about President Trump, however some Biblical scholars have mentioned the people turned to Trump ( a man) instead of God.I have not been able to think that out yet, still in shock what destruction senile Joe has done in such a short time.
