Nothing like an inspiring church service on your birthday. Thanks for the warm welcome Brookland Baptist Church.

The Jehovah's witness philosophy is quite intriguing in how they shifted the goal posts for hte rapture

Did you know that they announced that the rapture would come during the lifetime of "the generation of 1914"

Now they say that "this generation will include anyone alive who knew anyone from the generation of 1914" -- so even if a 2 year old in 2002 met his/her grandma, she's a member of the "generation of 1914" and the rapture will come in the child's lifetime

And yet; the Bible IS considered INSPIRED,

No one disputes this.

and the first three chapters of Revelation SHOW what the 'entirely catholic church' was believing and practicing.

The Church is filled with sinners; what else is new? Is not your own church filled with sinners, or are you all completely immaculate and free from sins? St. Peter betrayed Jesus and latter needed to be corrected by St. Paul, yet he was still appointed to lead the Church, would be the source for Mark's gospel and would write his own letters that are included in the Bible. It would also be this sin filled church which would proclaim which books belong in the Bible and which not.

If your criterion for the true church and true Christians is freedom from all sin, then there is no Christian church and no true Christians, including yourself.

Many 'traditions' of the RCC have very little to do with the bible...

Not so. They all flow from the Bible and the church that the Bible shows was established by Jesus with the authority to bind and loose.

On the other hand, many Protestant tradition are actually contrary to the Bible, like sola fide and sola scriptura. Yes, these are mere human traditions and are not found in the Bible. Also contrary to the Bible are the Protestants' denial of Biblical truths taught by the Catholic Church as I have summarized above. Protestants preach the Bible is the sole rule of faith, but they do not live it.

They all go to ‘mass’.
I lived in Mexico for years. You wouldn’t believe your eyes at what they put on the tombs of their dead loved ones.

And shall we judge Protestantism by the actions of their unfaithful who go to Sunday services?

Of course not.

It’s a *have you stopped beating your wife yet?* type of accusation.

Yes, it is indeed quite the list.

Yes, it is indeed quite the list, a list mostly (besides some misconceptions) of the abuse of Scripture being compelled to support Rome like a servant to her, versus what the NT church actuallt manifestly believed. .

The Lord's Supper.

Confession to a Catholic priest.

Anointing of the Sick

Holy Orders of RC priests.

Apostolic succession

The authority of the Church to speak with the authority of the Holy Spirit through her ministers

Peter as the chief apostle

Purgatory

And while the writings of the early church Fathers are not inspired Scripture, they do show what the early Christians believed, and it was entirely Catholic.

WRONG! The only wholly inspired-of-God and substantive record of what the NT church believed is Scripture, esp. Acts thru Revelation which best shows how they understood the OT and the gospels. As for the uninspired and non-uniform writings the early church Fathers, these manifest a progressive accretion of errors adopted from tradition which by its very nature is neither infallible and supreme susceptible corruption. Thus God manifestly made writing His most-reliable means of authoritative preservation. (Exodus 17:14; 34:1,27; Deuteronomy 10:4; 17:18; 27:3,8; 31:24; Joshua 1:8; 2 Chronicles 34:15,18-19, 30-31; Psalm 19:7-11; 102:18; 119; Isaiah 30:8; Jeremiah 30:2; Matthew 4:5-7; 22:29; Luke 24:44,45; John 5:46,47; John 20:31; Acts 17:2,11; 18:28; Revelation 1:1; 20:12, 15

And thus as abundantly evidenced , as written and established, Scripture became the transcendent supreme standard for obedience and testing and establishing truth claims as the wholly Divinely inspired and assured Word of God. Thus the veracity of even apostolic oral preaching could be subject to testing by Scripture. (Acts 17:11)

Moreover, men such as the apostles could speak as wholly inspired of God and also provide new public revelation thereby (in conflation with what had been written), neither of popes and councils claim to do. Thus the written word is the assured infallible word of God.

Moreover, Rome herself picks and chooses from among so-called " church fathers" for what she deems to be church teaching (she judges them more than she is judged by them.” — Catholic Encyclopedia: “Tradition and Living Magisterium” http://www.newadvent.org/cathen/15006b.htm).

Be that as it may, it is dishonest to attack and seek to discredit the Catholic Church for things that the Catholic Church itself condemns. An honest Protestant missionary would acknowledge that these pagan practices are contrary to Catholic teaching and limit his arguments to actual disputes between Catholics and Protestants.

True, yet "the Catholic Church" means that of today, and it seems that those who want the the Catholic Church of yesterday are the ones who are primarily excluded and exist in sects.

And do you think that your Watchtower would excommunicate people?

"My Watchtower?!" That is not only ignorant but irrelevant. Watchtower disciples are actually like RCs in that their supreme authority is held as possessing ensured veracity and thus like docile sheep they are follow whatever it is whatever their leadership says on faith and morals.

What about the Baptist Carter and Kamala Harris?

Also irrelevant unless someone her is promoting Carter as the sure magisterium. But maybe you can straighten out the multitude of TradCaths her who reject the Living Magisterium based upon their judgment of what historical RC teaching means. I thought only we could so that.

The ignorance is following the pre-tribulation rapture. Why do you hang on to that Darby created non-biblical nutzo stuff?

The ignorance is on you, of that of my post even after you responded to it. First you seem to think I was a JW ("My Watchtower") and now its a pre-tribulation rapturists, both of which are false as is your false gospel calumny and simply adds to your list of such.

Likewise...

If your criterion for being the true church and being true Christians is being Catholic, thus there is no other Christian church and no true Christians, ONLY you guys; then your salesmanship means some improving.

Half the world ain't buying what you're trying to sell.

Not so. They all flow from the Bible and the church that the Bible shows was established by Jesus with the authority to bind and loose.

And smoothies flow from a blender.

The bible shows that the early church was FULL of error; so why did those Catholics manage to mess up so early; since y'all got it straight from the Apostles?

When the RCC traditions can be shown to adhere to the following scripture; your chosen religion might have a case.

But; just like a trial before a jury; the folks will want to see the evidence you so boldly claim to have.

Romans 15:4
For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through endurance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.

Romans 16:17
I urge you, brothers, to watch out for those who cause divisions and put obstacles in your way that are contrary to the teaching you have learned. Keep away from them.

1 Corinthians 4:17
For this reason I am sending to you Timothy, my son whom I love, who is faithful in the Lord. He will remind you of my way of life in Christ Jesus, which agrees with what I teach everywhere in every church.

1 Corinthians 11:2
I praise you for remembering me in everything and for holding to the teachings,  just as I passed them on to you.

2 Thessalonians 2:15
So then, brothers, stand firm and hold to the teachings we passed on to you, whether by word of mouth or by letter.

2 Thessalonians 3:6
In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, we command you, brothers, to keep away from every brother who is idle and does not live according to the teaching  you received from us.

1 Timothy 4:6
If you point these things out to the brothers, you will be a good minister of Christ Jesus, brought up in the truths of the faith and of the good teaching that you have followed.

2 Timothy 1:13
What you heard from me, keep as the pattern of sound teaching, with faith and love in Christ Jesus.

2 Timothy 3:16-17
 16.  All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness,
 17.  so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
