Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

Lambs, Sheep, and Shepherds

.

Isaiah 13:19

19 Babylon, the jewel of kingdoms,     the pride and glory of the Babylonians,[a]
will be overthrown by God
    like Sodom and Gomorrah.
20 She will never be inhabited
    or lived in through all generations;
there no nomads will pitch their tents,
    there no shepherds will rest their flocks.
21 But desert creatures will lie there,
    jackals will fill her houses;
there the owls will dwell,
    and there the wild goats will leap about.
22 Hyenas will inhabit her strongholds,
    jackals her luxurious palaces.
Her time is at hand,
    and her days will not be prolonged.

New International Version (NIV)(End of Scripture Passage)

The Judgement upon the Great City of Babylon is exactly like like Nineveh.

And Stand Together As One,
To Lift Up Your Name In Praise and Prayer.
We thank You With All Our Hearts!

LORD, We Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem,
According To Your Will and Promise.
We Beseech You on Behalf of Our Captive Brethren,
Christians and Jews,
In Bondage in Hostile lands.

We Pray For Our Beloved USA
We Ask That Your People Receive Wisdom from You
To do the Right Thing.
We Pray For The Swift and Sure Coming of Messiah,
Blessed Be He,
To Establish His Kingdom,
and Make All Things Right.

Israel is the navel of the earth. This is mandated by the Scriptures as there are many things associated with this. Why don’t you do some research.

Amen !!! <><

Psalm 35

Of David.

1 Contend, O Lord, with those who contend with me;
fight against those who fight against me!
2 Take hold of shield and buckler,
and rise up to help me!
3 Draw the spear and javelin
against my pursuers;
say to my soul,
‘I am your salvation.’

4 Let them be put to shame and dishonour
who seek after my life.
Let them be turned back and confounded
who devise evil against me.
5 Let them be like chaff before the wind,
with the angel of the Lord driving them on.
6 Let their way be dark and slippery,
with the angel of the Lord pursuing them.

7 For without cause they hid their net* for me;
without cause they dug a pit* for my life.
8 Let ruin come on them unawares.
And let the net that they hid ensnare them;
let them fall in it—to their ruin.

9 Then my soul shall rejoice in the Lord,
exulting in his deliverance.
10 All my bones shall say,
‘O Lord, who is like you?
You deliver the weak
from those too strong for them,
the weak and needy from those who despoil them.’

11 Malicious witnesses rise up;
they ask me about things I do not know.
12 They repay me evil for good;
my soul is forlorn.
13 But as for me, when they were sick,
I wore sackcloth;
I afflicted myself with fasting.
I prayed with head bowed* on my bosom,
14 as though I grieved for a friend or a brother;
I went about as one who laments for a mother,
bowed down and in mourning.

15 But at my stumbling they gathered in glee,
they gathered together against me;
ruffians whom I did not know
tore at me without ceasing;
16 they impiously mocked more and more,*
gnashing at me with their teeth.

17 How long, O Lord, will you look on?
Rescue me from their ravages,
my life from the lions!
18 Then I will thank you in the great congregation;
in the mighty throng I will praise you.

19 Do not let my treacherous enemies rejoice over me,
or those who hate me without cause wink the eye.
20 For they do not speak peace,
but they conceive deceitful words
against those who are quiet in the land.
21 They open wide their mouths against me;
they say, ‘Aha, Aha,
our eyes have seen it.’

22 You have seen, O Lord; do not be silent!
O Lord, do not be far from me!
23 Wake up! Bestir yourself for my defence,
for my cause, my God and my Lord!
24 Vindicate me, O Lord, my God,
according to your righteousness,
and do not let them rejoice over me.
25 Do not let them say to themselves,
‘Aha, we have our heart’s desire.’
Do not let them say, ‘We have swallowed you* up.’

26 Let all those who rejoice at my calamity
be put to shame and confusion;
let those who exalt themselves against me
be clothed with shame and dishonour.

27 Let those who desire my vindication
shout for joy and be glad,
and say evermore,
‘Great is the Lord,
who delights in the welfare of his servant.’
28 Then my tongue shall tell of your righteousness
and of your praise all day long.

Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

In one of the the many TV series designed to make humans feel guilty for breathing, a grim narrator described cities after all the people were gone. In a smug, triumphant tone, he celebrated the plants and animals creeping back into the cracks and crannies as concrete and glass crumbled to make way. I turned it off after ten minutes into the first episode.

The problem wasn't the production, or the facts presented. We have seen from the ruins of Pripyat and Detroit that this is exactly what happens when a city is deserted. It was the smarmy attitude that humans are a contagion on Planet Earth rather than part of Creation. God put us here to tend to the Earth, to manage it, and to be fruitful. Without human invention and progress, the Writers, Producers, Narrators, and Computer Artists of such a TV series wouldn't even exist. Perhaps they would prefer to live in a cave and eat grubs. Or maybe they want YOU to live in a cave and eat grubs so that they can continue in a lavish lifestyle. Whatever. (Sorry about the rant).

There are several instances in the Bible where a city is destroyed and Nature creeps in to take over. The difference between the Bible and Modern Nature Cults is that, in the Bible, the destruction of a city is presented as a LAMENT. We looked at this poetic form when we studied the Music of the Bible. "Laments" are not very popular these days. The closest thing we have to a lament in modern music would be something called "EMO", which, believe me, you DON'T want to know about. The point is that Isaiah, Zephaniah, Jeremiah, and even John the Revelator did not present the Destruction of Cities in a "ha-ha-I-told-you-so" manner. The destruction of even a small city in Biblical Times meant the death of thousands of people. Yes, they were sinners, but we all were before we came to know God. Humans are not a disease to be eradicated, but are AFFLICTED with a disease called "sin". The solution is not destroying the city and killing everybody, but to bring the Light into the Darkness.

And that's a BIG difference!

Come and Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.
