Moscow, December 11, Interfax - Russian President Vladimir Putin has given the Foreign Ministry until March 1, 2021 to initiate discussions on international forums concerning measures to prevent actions insulting religious feelings of believers and fomenting interfaith enmity and conflicts.

The presidential instruction was published on the Kremlin's official website on Friday, following Putin's recent meeting with representatives of religious groups.

The Foreign Ministry has also been told "to consider the possible conclusion of international agreements and (or) the adoption of a UN General Assembly resolution on such matters."

Ismail Berdiyev, the head of the Coordinating Center of Muslims of the North Caucasus, who attended Putin's meeting with religious leaders, proposed bringing the matter up at the UN Security Council to prompt all countries to adopt legislation against actions insulting believers' religious feelings.

Unfortunately the war on our freedom of speech has been going on for a while now and sadly the left, islamists, and assorted nutjob antichrists have been making progress on duping people to accept the idea of government controlled speech as being 'nice.'

Even our military got into it under Obama's watch especially when they tried to spin the "Innocence of Muslims" video as the cause of the Benghazi attack rather than point the finger where it belonged. The conference, “Finding Expression in Contested Public Spaces,” featured a keynote address and seven panels of scholars who presented their research and gave their thoughts on free speech. Why America needs a hate speech law 10/30/2019, 7:36:36 AM · by C19fan · 72 replies Washington Post ^ | October 29, 2019 | Richard Stengel When I was a journalist, I loved Justice Oliver Wendell Holmes Jr.’s assertion that the Constitution and the First Amendment are not just about protecting “free thought for those who agree with us but freedom for the thought that we hate.” But as a government official traveling around the world championing the virtues of free speech, I came to see how our First Amendment standard is an outlier. Even the most sophisticated Arab diplomats that I dealt with did not understand why the First Amendment allows someone to burn a Koran. Why, they asked me, would you ever want to...

To avoid this fate, Marantz says we must rethink the First Amendment, which would include government and private companies striving to limit “hate speech.” He agrees with a former American Civil Liberties Union official that one day in the not-so-distant future, legal “protection of hate speech” will “seem ridiculous in retrospect.” Some governments have...

Just curious: Why the unhealthy obsession with Russia, but no criticism of our most dangerous enemy, China?

Firstly, the subject here is the Russian Orthodox church. Not a listing of America's enemies.

But since you asked, you are most likely unaware, as are most people, even here on FR, that China and Russia are in bed together militarily, and also economically. They have been staging increasingly large and sophisticated joint war games for 15 years now with the obvious intent of going to war with us and our allies. They both heavily support the same America-hating radical regimes. ie, Iran, North Korea, Venezuela, and others of the sort.

The Orthodox Churches, along with the Catholic Churches, are the oldest Christian Churches.

If you had bothered to read what I posted about the *RUSSIAN* Orthodox Church, and understood it, you probably wouldn't even be asking me to clarify anything regarding that. In sort, it is an evil and nefarious front organization used to push their political agenda. They, via the Russian government and KGB, are the creators of communist Liberation Theology.

Bottom line, Russia and China are very much working together to establish, as they put it, a "new international order", with the eager support of many in the Democrat Party and of course the communist-left organizations like ANTIFA, so-called "Black Lives Matter", and other less significant communist groups.

Peace Mission 2005

Peace Mission 2005 was the first ever joint military exercise between China and Russia.

The exercise started on August 19, 2005, and consisted of combined land, sea, and air elements simulating an intervention in a state besieged by terrorists or political turmoil.

It concluded on August 25, 2005. The force practiced air and naval blockades, an amphibious assault, and occupying a region. Approximately 8,000 Chinese troops took part along with 2,000 Russian troops.

China initially wanted to hold the exercise near the Taiwan Strait, Russia wanted to hold the exercise in Northwestern China near central Asia, but instead settlement was made on the Shandong Peninsula.

There are a number of reasons for the exercise, including:

China is the largest consumer of Russian military technology. The exercise will showcase the Russian weapons including the Tupolev Tu-22M and Tupolev Tu-95 long range bombers.

The two countries are by far the most influential in the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation and the exercise will help to strengthen military ties.

Both countries have stated that the exercise is not directed at any one country, but many believed to be a show of force against the United States and particularly Taiwan.

The United States was not invited to observe the exercise, but did observe using satellite reconnaissance.[citation needed] The stated reason for the exercise is counter-terrorism; however, many analysts agree that the use of such heavy firepower, including long-range bombers, is not necessary. ...”

2015: First Russia-China naval war games underway in Mediterranean

By Carol J. Williams
May 11, 2015

Reporting from Moscow —

Neither Russia nor China has one inch of coastline on the Mediterranean Sea, making it an unlikely and provocative venue for their first joint naval war games.

The 10 days of maneuvers that got underway Monday will include live-fire exercises in the strategic sea connecting Europe, Africa and the Middle East. The point is lost on no one: A powerful new alliance of eastern giants is flexing its muscles in the very backyard of Western Europe — much as China has done on its own in the Pacific.

The war games follow Chinese President Xi Jinping’s visit to Moscow, where he headlined Victory Day celebrations and spent three days making billion-dollar deals with Russian President Vladimir Putin. ...”

Russia and China’s Growing Military Interaction; Surprised?

by Peter Zwack | September 9, 2018

The drums are already rolling for the upcoming Russian “Vostok” (east) wargames commencing on September 11. With its focal point in the Trans-Baikal region of eastern Siberia adjoining Chinese Manchuria and Mongolia, this is a nationwide Russian military and societal event.

Touted by Russian minister of defense Sergei Shoigu as “unprecedented in scale, both in terms of area of operations and numbers of military command structure, troops, and forces involved,” Russian state press is declaring that up to three hundred thousand troops and one thousand aircraft will be involved, with the majority from the Eastern and Central Military Districts.

This would be even larger than the near-legendary Zapad-81 maneuvers held in the western USSR during the depths of the Cold War. ...”
