Acts 2:5
From the KJV - And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven.
And Acts 2:10
10 Phrygia, and Pamphylia, in Egypt, and in the parts of Libya about Cyrene, and strangers of Rome, Jews and proselytes,
you see the “Jews and proselytes”?
ok, kind of like Joel Osteen or Kenneth Copeland? to be fair, I’ve never heard either of them speak a complete speech.
Proselytes to Judaism.
SouthernClaire: "What was Jesus preaching and to whom was He preaching, Cronos?"
The question was to you -- you believe that the Sermon on the Mount was not and is not for gentiles, correct?
SouthernClaire: Proselytes to Judaism.
The dictionary definition is
Proselyte: a person who has converted from one opinion, religion, or party to another.
These were gentile converts to Judaism. So Acts 2 was ALSO spoken to gentiles
I thought it was clear: No. You have to read the Church into the Kingdom text when it’s clearly not there nor even could have been at that time.
(It’s entertaining only to a degree how you change the subject. You want to contact the UCBB and tell them they have Acts 2:5 wrong?)
Of course they were. That was my point, Cronos, and you well know it. You changed your stance after the UCBB quote on it.
Not interested.
I strive to live by it, but yes I fail. However we have the perfect man (Jesus) to emulate - as we are Jesus-movement-Jews
you don't live by the golden rule or the rest of Christian teaching because you are a gentile?
Actually, Hagee is not a prosperity gospel preacher. Apart from his dual covenant dispensationalism he’s pretty orthodox. He does, however, preach classic dispensational eschatology.
He’s wrong btw...
Jesus was pretty clear in John 14:6 who He is and what the only path is to God.
“you don’t live by the golden rule or the rest of Christian teaching because you are a gentile?”
What? I cannot keep it. I cannot do it. I cannot complete it.
I believe that the pattern Paul gives us is what we are to live by. Either you believe Paul or not. Paul is supposed to be your pattern. Do you believe that or not?
Do you live by the Law, Cronos? If not, why not?
My post #9
Acts 2:14 “You who are Jews, indeed all of you staying in Jerusalem. -- Peter was speaking to Jews and to gentiles.Did you read the "it carries on and says" latter part of the post? The chapter starts with 5 And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven -- out of every nation
It carries on and says they are 9 Parthians, and Medes, and Elamites, and the dwellers in Mesopotamia, and in Judæa, and Cappadocia, in Pontus, and Asia, 10 Phrygia, and Pamphylia, in Egypt, and in the parts of Libya about Cyrene, and strangers of Rome, Jews and proselytes
That is exactly the same as my post #25
Cronos: And Acts 2:10It is clear in the Douay-Rheims that
< 10 Phrygia, and Pamphylia, in Egypt, and in the parts of Libya about Cyrene, and strangers of Rome, Jews and proselytes,
you see the “Jews and proselytes”?SouthernClaire: Proselytes to Judaism.

=============
It is clear that these were people "out of every nation" -- is there in the earliest translations
You can also check
a. the Latin Erant autem in Jerusalem habitantes Judæi, viri religiosi ex omni natione, quæ sub cælo est. -- "out of every nation"
Judæi quoque, et Proselyti,And Greek 5. ησαν δε εν ιερουσαλημ κατοικουντες ιουδαιοι ανδρες ευλαβεις απο παντος εθνους των υπο τον ουρανον -- the "απο παντος εθνους των υπο τον ουρανον" is from all nations under heaven
And 10. ρωμαιοι ιουδαιοι τε και προσηλυτοι --> Jews and converts
By the Jewish Torah Law or by the Halakha? Either way, please do answer first my question to you you don't live by the golden rule or the rest of Christian teaching because you are a gentile??
Amen. You’ll get no argument from me on that.
I’m not trying to start a spat, but IMHO I’d steer clear and far from John Hagee.
Cronos “you don’t live by the golden rule or the rest of Christian teaching because you are a gentile?”

To answer your question - I do strive to live by the Golden Rule and by the ten commandments among the rest of Jesus' teachings. I don't manage it most of the time, yes.
I don't get where you're coming from? You want gentiles to follow the Jewish Halakha laws?
👍
So then you don’t agree with the dual covenant theology? or the “gentiles don’t have a covenant”
I’m trying to figure out if that is linked to the pre-Tribulation rapture concept or distinct
Again, I agree with you 100%.
