The isolated American Jews

Caroline Glick

JNS) Without knowing the results of the U.S. presidential elections, certain conclusions can already be drawn safely. For instance, we can say with certainty that between 70 and 80 percent of American Jews voted for former Vice President Joe Biden.

On the face of things, American Jews could have been expected to vote in the same proportion, in the exact opposite direction. After all, from Britain to France to Australia, in recent decades, Jewish communities in advanced industrial democracies have moved from left to right.

Their move came in response to the transformation of their traditional political homes into hostile ground. Since the early 20th century, parties on the political left were traditionally more sympathetically inclined to Jews than parties on the right. But since the outset of the 21st century, that historic trend has been largely reversed. Parties on the left have become increasingly hostile to Jews and parties on the right have been making sustained efforts to win over the support of the Jewish communities. From Toulouse to Leeds to Berlin to Melbourne, Jews have been reading the same political map and turning to the right.

In America, the political situation is comparable to that of other Western democracies. From one election cycle to the next, the power of progressive forces hostile to Israel and to Jewish Americans has grown in the Democratic Party. In contrast, the Republican Party has become the most pro-Israel and pro-Jewish party outside of Israel the world has ever seen. And yet, in stark contrast to their brethren in England and Belgium, American Jews have steadfastly maintained their allegiance to the Democrats and the political left.

Whilst I posted an article showing the gains POTUS made as regards us Jews, Caroline Glick correctly made the argument that the Jewish vote for Trump should have been much more than it was. Caroline Glick contrasts the tepid increase of American Jewish votes for Trump with the massive increase of European Jews for right wing parties such as the British Conservative party, Le Pen; etc.

The lovely and brilliant Caroline Glick gives a scathing analysis against members of my tribe in America and a worrisome prognosis for the behavior of he fellow members of my tribe in America.

Most Jews are not Jews.

Which is to say — most ethnic Jews just adhere to the religion of Socialism and most of these actively oppose the state of Israel.

I think these surveys are highly questionable. Who are they surveying? If they’re only going to reform synagogues then the statistical sample is not a valid sample of the population. In my opinion the results are purposely skewed to democrats to persuade Jews, who may be historically clannish, to “stick together”.

The democrat party is fascist. Voting for them is like voting for Benito Mussolini (at least for the time being. It could get worse)

Sadly, what you say is true. The Democrat Party is clearly anti-Semitic but still American Jews vote overwhelmingly for them.

Benito Mussolini wasn’t antisemitic. At least not initially.

Hitler might have been 1/4 Jewish through an illegitimate grandfather named Leopold Frankenberger, according to Hans Frank at the Nuremberg trials.

Or maybe not. Historians disagree.

Fascinating.

You know the difference between a liberal Jew and Donald Trump?

Trump has Jewish grandchildren.

Jews vote perceived safety, and there’s no demographic that lives in urban areas at a higher % than Jews. The democratic mayors and governors proved they are willing to let their cities burn over the summer before a presidential election in a calculated political move. The surest way to keep the cities from burning was to vote Biden. This increased turnout on the dems side, and voting by mail/early also drastically lowered the effort required to vote, which is always good for democrat turnout. Plus, they are all terrified of covid.
