I really like and respect John Piper as a very good preacher. He can exposite the Word of God amazingly well.
I do not look for him to select my President.
He is bearing false witness with semantics and word twisting! That makes him a liar!
It doesn’t sound like he understands what he is preaching. If he thinks President Trump is dangerous and is committing sins that lead to death-of which the bible only speaks of one, then maybe you shouldn’t look to him for anything. Just my .02
I like him too, have read many of his books. But I disagree with him here. If God can use someone as messed up as David (murderer, adulterer) to lead a nation He can use Trump. I get that Trump is haughty, but we all have our faults.
Piper is very preachy in this article and makes a Moral Equivalence Between infanticide and “being rude”. Additionally, Piper makes the claim that Trump is unrepentant adulterer. I am glad this false Utilitarian teacher is showing his true colors.

I love John Piper and he’s exactly right. I didn’t vote for President Trump in 2016 because he does not fear God. However, I will vote for President Trump in 2020 because he has proven he’s a bit of speed bump to the demonic left but not because: we “are saving human lives and freedoms.”
